Rather than waste another 50 billion and still have terrorists blow themselves up, why not use that money to create a police headquarters in Iraq, send half the troops home, and instead of us thinking we are waging war, do what actually needs to be done, police the country.

Police don't wage war on criminals, they police the area in case they see suspicious activity.

To me, personally, these are two different issues. One can indeed support our troops, while not supporting this current war. What do you think?

He told her they cannot not do a DITY move or get reimbursed becasue they weren't married when he got stationed there. They just got married this week and his superiors will not let him off to get her an ID or sign up for onpost housing and other benefits that he should get because they are married. She is staying at a friends house there but needs to come back here to get her things and find a place to live down there. She is only 18 and it is hard to convince her how costly this will be. She has almost exausted all her savings to go down there and marry him and he only gets a small check this week. Hardly enough to get an apartment. I know they are young and foolish for doing what they have done but what's done is done and I hate to see her come home and depend on mom for gosh knows how long becasue this guy if feeding a line of you know what.
Is it true that the ARmy will not allow him to move his wife to be with him jsut becasue they weren't married when he was starioned .

Nobody answered these questions I asked on the Navy OCS discussion forum, so I hope better luck here.

Just got pro-rec'd for SWO (my 3rd choice) even though I was hoping for IW (1st choice) or Supply (2nd choice). Now waiting for finselect.

I hear they move you around all the work departments of SWO. Will a time come when you can settle in a certain department?

So I'm guessing auxiliary ships are the most similar work to Supply a SWO can do? Will it give you the most helpful chances if you want to lat transfer to Supply? How competitive is it to be assigned to auxiliary ships once you're SWO?

So if supposedly after being SWO for a couple years and your heart tells you to switch communities, would not taking these OOD and/or EOOW tests prevent it? Of course, I know I would have to do a good job as SWO; common sense at any other jobs if you want to earn some more favorable and flexible work opportunities.

Area 51 is so secrete that you can get shot down or shot at for trying to enter. I have an idea on how to get in. This involves a plane and other cargo. If you get in a private plane and fly toward Area 51, there will be jets on you in a matter of seconds. If you say that you are out of gas and must land on the runway of area 51 or you will crash, there is a very small chance they will let you. They will prob tell you to land on a road. But lets say you bring like 5 or 10 children on the plane with you. Then all you have to tell them is that there are children on board and what do you think the chances are that they will shoot you down then? They would most likely let you land on the runway at Area 51. Imagine being able to do that! Im 18 and dont have children but this could really be a good way to get on the runway at Area 51. I have always had an interest in this Area.

I wondering what job I should take. I plan on taking chef so I won't in the battlefield. I was also thinking of diver. I'm going Army and I will be an E-3 with four year of ROTC. I got a sheet with the things I can do. Which I told I could pick any job that I choose. I've always waned to be computer programmer, but I hate math, I can do fractions that's needed for the cooking. I heard there was some calculus in programing. I only studied enough math to remember it for the test. I had to re learn everything from scratch and it worked to my advantage. I restudied long division had a big division problem on my test. Think god I restudied the long division, PEMDAS,FOIL, fractions. That kind of stuff I still remember. I was wondering what kinda job you thinks I should take to keep me from having to fight in some gay *** war. I heard chef is my best pick. I've always wanted to be a chef anyway.

Sincerely,
DJ

Since the US military insists on deploying thousands of troops to search for kidnap victims does it make sense for the terrorists to kidnap as many Americans and allies as possible?
Isn't that the message?.

I was just wondering since today's "crash", and all the other "crashes" over the last 5 years in Afghanistan and Iraq are apparently due to "mechanical failure" or defects, are the manufacturers of Chinook and Blackhawk helicopters liable for the deaths of the GIs?

I'm 20 years old.

I am in good physical shape but could use a little working out. I have no girlfriend (anymore) so I wouldn't have to worry about leaving anyone. My family supports my decision should I decide to go. I don't have a job that could be a career (I work 40 hours a week in a Wood Mill).

Also, I have a very high education. I made a 96 of 99 on my ASVAB (military test) and I scored a 36 (of 36) on my ACT and I scored a 1510 of 1600 on my SAT. I graduated in the top 10% of my class. I've have more than a year of college but I'm not 100% sure which direction I want to head.

The reason I'm considering this is because I'm young, I'm intelligent, and I'm not really headed anywhere with my life and I thought perhaps a branch of the military could teach me even more discipline and build my character and I could get training for a job that I could later pursue as a career.

Any input would help! Thanks a lot!!!
