So you'll only accept the viewpoint of people who have been subjected to years of indoctrination by the leftist professors?

I agree with Author A. How can you discriminate against those who don't have a quote on quote education? That's the first question. Does an "education" deem you to be more intelligent than the "uneducated"? If so explain
Your view on the war is not dismissed but it is very distorted being that your getting second hand information. (ie the news and other fabricated media that we are only allowed to know)
Lastly...Why would you disrespect the soldiers that have given their lives for this country? ("I have madd respect, but")They're the reason you were able to put out such an egotistical and ignorant statement and answer.
"People with an education" LOL you are too funny!
I think your "educators" let you slip through the cracks.
Think about what you say before you expose your brain.
From a soldier who participated in this war.

A few years back I lived next door to a couple who were both working on their Doctorates. Really intelligent people in their fields, but had no common sense or knowledge beyond their immediate fields. I have an AA from a community college, a BS from an 'accredited' university and 23 years in the military and I will say this I have learned far more from personal and professional experiences.

This war has not affected only those with a prestigious college degree. High school drop out, high school graduate, trade school, Associates degree, or Harvard graduate...
what in the heck is the difference? Everyone is touched. All categories have associates, friends, or family members abroad. I am sure most of us feel the same way about this crazy war.
I don't understand why you directed this ? to only accredited college grads (as you put it..). Explain??

first off, what the hell is up w/ the college requirement? you can get just as good an education at a CC as you can a Harvard, if you press & try.
secondly, why do you think everything has been about $$$$? ever heard of the dominoe theory? that was the justification during the Korean & Vietnamese conflicts. neither country had a bustling economy or anything really to provide us. we did so to battle the commies.
read a book. oh wait that's right, your a major college boy.

What does having an "accredited" education have to do with the ability of someone to form an educated opinion? I have a BS in Psychology, double major in Justice Science and a minor in History. And? So what? Maybe the reasons we invaded are a little shakey, but the Iraqi people needed to be liberated. Additionally, we ARE there, and we need to fix the situation before we leave. The people once again need to be liberated and I believe we should stay until we clean house.

BS Econ & MIS f/SJSU, here.
In one sense, everything since the invention of money has been about money. WWII can be credited with pulling the US out of the Great Depression, WWI was about the European powers shaking out who got what (though it didn't resolve much in Europe, itself, the fall of the Ottoman Empire was a direct consequence that put tremednous resources under European dommination), the same could be said of the Napoleonic wars, the mercantilist period was certainly all about money, etc, etc...
I don't see where you've come up with a unique new insight, there.

I majored in Fire and Maneuver and minored in Call for Fixed and Rotary Wing air on the Streets of An Nasariyah,a fully accredited Iraq University.
I got my Masters in Room Clearing and Supported Assaults on the streets of Al Ramadi, and Al Kut.
I will be attending the fall semester to finish my PhD. in Anti-insurgency operations again on the streets of yet another Iraq city.
Hope I meet the qualifications and prerequisites to put "answer" to your query.
As long as there has been money, there have been those in its pursuit. I have studied many past conflicts and wars and all have issues tied in way or another to the mighty dollar, yen, deutschmark, pound, pint, denar, ext. That is a universal truth the world over.
Thank you for the "mad respect".

If you take an idiot and sent them to college, what you get is an educated idiot.
A college degree does not guarentee someone has any intelligence, all it shows is that somehow they had the time and money to go.
We are in Iraq because of flawed intelligence and a stubborn Sadam. The UN required inspectors to validate his weapons of mass destruction, he did not allow it, ergo, we are there and he is dead.

I find that the overthrow of Saddam was a very good thing and many of the Iraqis are living with less fear now. I find that the happiness of the people effected is more important than the money. I'm not refering to the protestors or other American citizens that are not in the military (serving in Iraq) as people who are effected.

I think it was a very bad judgment call on everyone's part--congress, Presidents, military intelligent--that we needed to go to Iraq. We didn't even finish what we started in Afghanistan before we ran off to Iraq. We still have troops in Afghanistan, and yet we hardly hear anything about that. I don't think it's about the money--it's costing us a lot of money to be there. . . but I'll say that it's mainly because of faulty intelligence, the prospect of oil, and the possibility of terrorist connections in Iraq. (Pretty much in that order.)
Now, we need to fix the mess that we made in Iraq. If we pull out, we'll be leaving it in worse shape than we found it!
By the way, I'd recommend the History Channel as well .. but someone with a doctorate degree should know how to spell doctorates... I didn't realize that eighth graders got those now!
