If there was a good cause, I'd re-enlist tomorrow.

It's a tough call for me to either sign up w/the USMC, or the Air Force.

If I knew then what I know now, I'd get myself into a communications MOS.

Knowing how to configure WAN's, LAN's, or telcoms is such a lucrative skill set.

Good friend of mine walked into a $100,000 a year job in telcom not even a month after he was discharged.

Actually I would. It doesn't make much sense, since I have never thought our invasion of Iraq was the right thing to do and I have a less than favorable opinion of our commander in chief.

A co-worker, who is also retired military, and I were discussing it not long after the invasion. "Wrong thing to do," she said about it. I agreed. "Going about it wrong too," I said, and she agreed. Silence. Then, "We should be over there" we both said.

Reminds me of the first Gulf war, I was still on active duty then. This very elderly man came into our office that first week and asked to speak to whoever was in charge. "I've been out a long time," he said, "But I was wondering if there was anything I could do to help..."

Because that's just how you feel about it, when your fellow troops are over there...

This is something I'm going to star for my husband. But I told him he's not allowed! :) He wants to go Canadian military, and I expressly forbid it...Canadian military...you know, I love my troops, support them, pray for them...but when we sent 1000 troops, 2 frigates and 1 Hercules helicopter to Afghanistan, with the US exchange it came out as 10 Mounties, a canoe and a flying squirrel!

Thank you! I'm here all week...tip your waitress!

Not even. If an order is given and you refuse, you get court's marshaled. If you follow it, the superiors who gave the order deny it. The GI gets it in the neck either way.
