* I dissolved more international treaties than any president in US history.
* I've made my presidency the most secretive and unaccountable of any in US history.
* Members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in US history. (The 'poorest' multimillionaire, Condoleeza Rice, has a Chevron oil tanker named after her).

i don't think he'll be considered a top 5 or even a top 8 president, but look what happened while he was president, 9/11 and katrina. which both are still affecting the country and will be for many more presidents. but he was elected twice, beat kerry by 3.5 million votes, apparently the vast majarity of american most think he is doing ok, face it election day is the real and only poll that matters.

Personally, I put little weight or value into the opinions of those who haven't actually done anything to protect themselves, much less their country, in a time of war; especially against an enemy as dubious and underhanded as this one. Having been to Iraq myself and devoted years of my life to my country and to people who do not appreciate it, I can say that I myself, and most of my comrades in the service, are fed up and exasperated with the American public. How many more incidents like 9-11, 7-7 (in London), the Madrid bombing, and countless others will it take to get through into their heads? Are they so impatient and settled into their privileged lives that they are objecting to a war that has had absolutely no impact on their lives beyond SLIGHTLY higher gas prices (we still pay less than most of the world does) and news flashes on TV? Despite some bad command decisions, this is one of the first wars we've been in where the country itself hasn't been "at war"--the military has... especially for a war that's gone on as long as this one. The fact that we, in the military, have kept all the danger and grief away from the greater American public and allowed them to continue living their lives in luxury just as they had before 9-11 even happened has gone unnoticed and unappreciated.
What is right is not always popular, and what is popular is not always right.
That is why I put about as much weight into polls as I do into the inane political ramblings of a teenager in a high school debate class; if you don't have the experience to back it up and are dumb enough to believe what your teacher tells you, you frankly have no business spreading a worthless and groundless opinion around. Leave the fighting to those who actually know what the hell's going on and who are still willing to sacrifice their rights for yours.

The American peoples opinion polls showing that Bush is the most unfavored president ever in U.S. history is absolutely accurate. This nation has not been this divided since the Civil War and it's due to Bush polarizing the very citizens he claims to care so much about. Good ones, Zoom. I love Bushisms!

President Bush is a very poor president.
1. He rushed us into war in Iraq when we were clearly not finished in Afghanistan (now Afghanistan made sense to begin with, but it has been screwed up, and badly);
2. Contrary to both statute law and the US Constitution he has pressed for or allowed officials he chose to make warrant less searches and wiretaps;
3. Contrary to statute law and the Constitution, his administration has advocated warrant less indefinite detention without trial for US citizens seized in the US; (See the case of José Padilla; yes, Padilla is probably a very bad guy, but if he has no rights, then all any president has to do is say YOU are a bad guy and you get held for 2+ years or forever without any recourse)
4. He has admitted kidnapping people off the streets of foreign countries and shipping them th secret detention facilities for what anyone who has lived through it calls torture; (When I went to Air Force Security Police Officer's School they taught us that torture, besides being morally wrong, can not get reliable information because the tortured will tell you what he thinks you want to hear.) There are currently at least two suits against the US by kidnap and torture victims generally believed to be the innocent victims of mistaken identity.
5. Alberto Gonzales, then White House Counsel,(yes he is now the Attorney General of the US) called the Geneva Convention, a treaty which we signed and ratified to protect our military personnel, "archaic and laughable" thus giving any future enemy of the US permission to abuse and torture their US prisoners.
There is more, but I'm too depressed to bring it up.

Polls are meaningless.
He has done OK. I think somethings haven't worked out the way everyone would have liked and there are elements that wish to use this to diminish him. Unfortunately that strategy borders on treason. At the least it should turn stomachs.
But as long as they tag onto any crazy statement that "They support the troops" they get a pass. We know better.
History will be kind to President Bush, just as it was less so for Lyndon Johnson. I don't believe the that lying about the war in Iraq is anything like we saw in Vietnam. maybe reversed? The press hides positive news? I know my compadres are getting sick of the press.

First off, most of the problems with the country today are due to ex-president Clinton's poor long-term decision making (like NAFTA). Secondly people call him a scumbag and a moron, but when I ask people why, they can't come up with a reason that makes sense. People make fun of him for his poor speech giving, but so what, I don't see any of you being President right now, so he must have smarts over you.

George W is a lap dog and is tooo dumb to even know it. How can a complete lap dog become president. Do any of you believe all of that big oil, pharmaceutical and insurance money bought Florida in the original election now. It makes you say hmmm doesn't it? If George Bush tripped on a stump and fell the conservatives would say he wouldn't have fell if Clinton would have had the stump removed. If my boss came to me and said Sam why are doing such a poor job and I replied because the last guy left a mess he would fire me on the spot. Conservatives you sound so lame when you blame Clinton for Bush's Mistakes. very lame

People on here remind me of a joke I heard long ago. During a hotly contested basketball game, a foul was called. A loud voice rang out. " Referee is a blind S.O.B. " The crowd got silent and the principal of the school grabbed the PA microphone and asked that whoever called the Ref a blind SOB to come forward. A man stood up and said " I didn't call the ref a blind SOB, but I want to know who called that blind SOB a referee! "

Not greatest or even great. Foreign affairs are in shambles and the economy is feeling the strain of high oil prices and the cost of the war. Never in my adult life have I been so fearful of the future then now. Bad President.
