I'm getting a Bachelors in Aeronautical Science. Joining as a commisioned officer and "hopefully" fly an apache. Confident. Landed perfectly twice my first 30 mins. 17 y/o

Reasons why not Warrant Officer.

I get thrown in more scenarios then.
I have to enlist first. Bad choice.
I would be called an "enlisted officer" bad.

Good reasons, just what they say the duties of commisioned officers are, can adapt to enviroments quikly, can do special ops as well. etc etc etc.

What do commisioned officers usually go through before they fly.

How long is ocs then i have 14 weeks BCT,, then i have flight training at fort rucker al? for how long?

A commisioned officer is only as good as the NCO's that take care of him.
Your perception of warrent officer's is interesting. I have never heard a WO called an 'enlisted officer'. They are an officer in the armed forces. You do not need to enter service with that type of attitude.

your assumption is incorrect. Army Warrants are not necessarily enlisted first. they have a direct Flight school program whereby you commission to Warrant after training, no prior service needed. It's Called the High School to Flight School program, but college grads can also utilize it.

no such thing as an enlisted officer any more. You are either a Warrant OFFICER or a Commissioned officer.

and therer ain't nuttin wrong with enlisting first. Plenty of enlisted folks have advanced degrees, go on to carry out long productive rewarding careers. Don't knock the enlsited ranks, the skills and leadership you learn being enlisted is invaluable.

Every officer in the military whether he be from an Academy, OCS, staff or warrant earns a commission, so Warrant officers are commissioned officers.

With a degree in Aeronautical Science I imagine you will have a lot of pull when telling the Officer recruiter what you want to do. If you are already going to college or have been accepted then go to college and go to OCS afterwards. There's no sense in enlisting now and afterwards it wouldn't make any sense to enlist.
