I am a 25 year old male, and I am thinking of joining the Navy. The situation is that I am thinking of marrying the mother of my child so we can be together before I serve and I was wondering if anybody thinks its a good idea because my daughter is only 2, but at the same time I want to build some type of financial security for her. Will I be able to spend time with her and spend time with my future wife? And if so, do you think that I will be able to be stationed where I originally enlisted at? Because most of her family lives here.

I already took my ASBAV test; I scored a 63. Enough to get me into my calling: MEDICINE. So now that the field chances are open I wanted to see any general tips and/or advices regarding this navy field.

I also want to make and informed decision; what are my chances of getting deployed to Iraq after “C” School?

I will be 21 this month; 2 semesters away from my AA in Premed. Single, talented, experienced, and a natural leader. Real rather than religious Christian. Is this the right move for me?

I want to serve my country; I want to serve in the area where my abilities and passion are arrayed: Medicine.

NO Christian would support man made war.
ANY Christian who supports war is in direct opposition to Jesus Christ and will soon pay the price for their ignorant mistake.

The definitive debunking of the arguments for a war on Iraq by the former weapons inspector who is a major voice throughout the international media, and who knows from the inside what the risks really are-both of not going to war and going to war.During the seven years that UN weapons inspections took place in Iraq (until they were banned in 1998), Scott Ritter and other inspectors confirmed that Saddam Hussein's chemical, biological and nuclear weapons programme had effectively been destroyed. This undermines America's premise for waging war on Iraq. If the weapons aren't there, what is the war about? The war supporters are now walking in shame.

My Fiance' Joined the army, But halfway through basic he's regreting it. ( He's not the type tp be away form his friends and family for a long time) A week ago the drill sergants said if you don't wanna be here then quit. Well he's doing just that, he's going to each of his sergants and informing them of his choice. But the seem to be playing around with him, One told him he CANNOT quit. But then the next day ask's him if he's had a change of heart yet. Then an even higher officer whom he hasn't even approached yet, asked him the same thing. And he said he still wanted to go home, so now there going to have a talk soon.
If he keeps his stance on this will they have to let him go? I'm trying to figure out everyhting I can for him, so He knows what he needs ot say to get out. ( One woman has already quit and gone home, so it IS possible to do so)

Is it because the US cannot gain full control of Iraq? Do you understand why those insurgents are fighting?

You people should blame your leaders. They applied the wrong strategy, and disaster is what they got.

One man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist.

many battles during the ancient times e.g. warring states peroid had involved massive army numbers...e.g. 240 B.C. state of Zhao itself sent 450,000 troops against Qin and State of Zhao is relatively a tiny area compared with the PERSIAN empire but even with the size of the Persian empire, it sent only 300,000 troops against Alexander at battle of Guagamela

We all know China has always been a heavily populated country but is it unrealistic for Ancient chinese battle to have such huge numbers of troops relative to its territorial size??
