I am allowed up to 1 year for maternity/parental leave. I plan to breastfeed, etc. so perfect. The employer can not refuse nor change your position, you are eligilble to start the leave up to 8 weeks prior to your expected delivery date.

I work a full time management position (logistics, transportation, customs for a large corporation). My position is 2 FT management positions in one. I can't leave for a day without things falling apart - have a ton of holidays left because I am only allowed to take them if I find coverage, and no one will cover for this position!! They all say "I wouldn't know how to deal with it." It is very busy and stressful. I've saved up for Christmas holidays all year so I could see my family (far away), I booked it off months in advance. Without coverage I can't take it.

My boss won't replace my position, wants me to come back early and leave later (4wks), wants me to do all the contracts a year in advance, and is talking about putting me somewhere else

Now this question isnt for me. I have a friend who has a car and it is insured but they dont know anyone who can drive with them. And the DMV hasnt help me much find out what I can do about this. It doesnt make sense. What if you came from another country and you bought a car and had to learn how to drive and you didnt know anyone and Had no family? That sounds kind of stupid to me. And I am talking about someone who is over 18. Everything that gets quoted is for people under 18.

I sold an AG doll on craigslist. In the ad, I had pictures, and a description that said that she was played with & clean. Turns out the person that saw the ad was from the US atty's office, and her sister bought the doll from me. They're not happy with the doll because "its not new, frizzy hair" but I didn't list a brand new doll, and the pics showed hair that was slightly frizzy (but not bad). Well, she keeps calling me saying that she's from the US atty's office (calling me from their phone lines), and saying how I have to allow a return of the doll. Also she keeps emailing me too! I tell her to leave me alone, and she threatened criminal charges for fraud because the doll wasn't new. I didn't list it as new! Can I file a harassment complaint with the US atty's office for their employee using her employment as a way to harass me? I'm not accepting a return of the doll, I did nothing illegal, immoral, or dishonest in any way.

I had (who I thought was) a friend spend one night at my place. Two days later, he came over for a visit. He would not leave.I finally called the cops. They said, because he had spent one night there, that there where some tenancy issues and (under the law) I would have to evict him.The cop did not tell him that and (THANK GOD!!!!) made him leave anyway.

How long does a guest have to stay at someones residents before, in order to make him leave, have to formally evict them?

can a judge be sued for civil matters?

To make a long story short, how do we move a case forward to trial that has been stalled and stonewalled by the attorney for the people we are suing who has spent three straight years filing endless frivolous motions?

We have solid evidence which is why they dont want this to go to trial. We know it. They know it. Their attorney knows it. And after three years it should be clear to them that we have the time and money to continue with this case and that we have no intention of quitting.

So why would a judge tolerate these mindless motions into infinity? I understand that they have rights but dont we have rights as well?

Any opinions are welcome.

Had Mrs Gibbins been ordered a flogging by the Sudan Judges then I would have hoped the members of Answers would have carried out a campaign of protest through our MPs. However, the judges in their wisdom were able to compromise and Gibbins is not to be flogged therefore my question has been resolved. Perhaps," Answers" (you) was a factor! We will never know. Thank all of you for participating I will now sign out Jack R

This girl drove drunk in college, got a girl paralyzed and her roommate killed. I gather all of them were drunk and willingly consented to the car ride, which took place in 1996. Seriously, it's been 11 years, she's living life through her MySpace page, why are Lindsay's relatives in America and law enforcement so concerned with locking her up? Killing people while driving drunk is bad enough on your conscience, going after her after 11 years and thinking that locking her up is going to make a difference is another. It's just another waste of tax money, give me your thoughts?

If Texas, the age of consent is 17, only if the actor is no more than 3 years older.

Question: Can the parents of a (then) 17 year old girl, file statutory rape charges against a male who was 4 years older than her, after that girl has turned 18? Could they do anything about previous sexual involvment if she is now of legal age (even if they never decided to do anything about it before, except keep them apart) ...

Additional Details: If they had to have proof, they have a journal of hers that states that she had slept with this guy. Could they use this against the male to get him in trouble if the girl is now 18?

He was aware of the consent age being 17, but was unaware of the 3 year rule. Worried that they might not like him hanging out with her, even if she is of age now. Could he get in trouble for earlier involvement if they wanted?

Where I live it is -17°C / 0°F.
I saw this poor dog in a dog kennel on the back of the bed of the truck.A German Shepard I think.
On top of this bad situation the truck traveling at least 100km/ 63mph.
I memorized the plate number, so I could report it as soon as i got home.
When I got home and told my boyfriend said that I was totally overreacting and that the dog is fine.
would a dog survive that temp outside of a truck?
Or should I report this stupid person to police.

I feel so bad that I did not do more while I was driving behind the truck.
I know if it were me in that dog place, I WOULD BE DEAD.
