"Deleted Answer: The american people are ignorant because the truth is NOT out where it should be. 2/3 of ILLEGAL immigrants DO pay their taxes. I know this personally because my husbands family was illegal at one point. I believe that a child who had no say so whatsoever in coming to the united states as a child should not be punished by their parents actions. The fact that they are doing well in school is proof that they will CONTRIBUTE to society and not go make trouble. Also we shouldn't be so hard on the illegal immigrants anyway. They do love their country, however in Mexico they don't have unemployment as we do or welfare. So if you are jobless your family basically starves. So to put things into perspective they either leave to the rich country next door for a better life for them and their children, OR they stay , starve, and sell chicklettes. Its the truth, most of you are so quick to judge. But if you had their situation what would you do? Really think about that one."

My parents are wanting me to appoint them guardians of my daughter so that she can be put on their insurance. I'm very nervous about doing this. Isn't that like giving your child away? I'm unsure. When appointing someone a guardian what does that really mean? If anyone can give me some info and/or some websites that can explain it to me it would be a great help. I don't know if the state you live in makes a difference but I live in Missouri.

Why should there be reservations when all Indians were treated poorly by the British for hundreds of years no matter what caste? All Indians became free in 1947, why should some get special treatment based on something that may or maynot have happened in prehistory? if people can question the existence of Ram, the Mistreatment of the so called lower castes can also be questioned for lack of scientific proof! If their are individual cases now, who's stopping the Govt. from arresting the offenders? If someone didnot discriminate themselves why should they be punished for what may or maynot have happened thousands of years ago?

I was watching a judge show on tv with my boyfriend and he asked me "how do these judges enforce their decisions because they aren't in an actually court room. What jurisdiction do they have and what can they do to you if you don't pay up?" I'm not sure of the answer. He thinks they can't do anything and I don't want him to be right. He thinks he's always right!!!

I just found out that a child I have seen once is my son. My ex-girlfriend had a baby and he is now 4 years old. My name is not in the birth certificate, but I know he is mine just by his looks. I have not gotten a paternity test yet, but if the babys moma wants to come after me for child support does that mean I have to pay back child support. Note: she has not had any benefits from the state nor goverment for the child.

About two years ago I put in a claim for a pair of earrings that was turned into the Security office's lost and found department at the hospital I worked for. After a few months of waiting for the owner to come forward no one showed and the jewelry was tuned over to me. They have been in my possession for about two years now and I want to know if I legally own them. Sounds silly but I need to know. You see, the turned out be worth quite a bit of money.

In most states, when a bank forecloses on a landlord, the tenant has no guarantee of being allowed to stay in the property. In addition, neither the bank nor the landlord has any legal obligation to inform the tenant of the foreclosure. Often, the renter first learns of the foreclosure when he or she is being told to vacate the property within a few days or weeks.

I am trying to come up with a strategy to prove this. States that have split speed limits use stopping distance models to justify their actions, but I can clearly prove that justification to be without rational basis. Any argument the State can give to support split speed limits, I can clearly refute, and offer empirical evidence and testimony from qualified experts to the contrary that SSL's are NOT safe. In an upcoming speeding ticket hearing, what strategy can I employ to not only beat the ticket, but have the split speed limit in that state repealed judiciously?

My dad passed away a couple years ago and after about a month, I moved into his home and asked for the gas company to turn on the gas in my name. They instead shut the gas off and refused to turn it on until I paid his bill.
Dad didnt have much. My dads mom died a month before he did, so there was a lot going on here.
I am sorry, but I think the gas company should not have expected me to pay a $400 gas bill which wasnt mine before they turned me on. Who is wrong here?

I left my appartment in near perfect condition and better than how it was when I moved in, yet I am being charged cleaning fees after I moved out because I didn't hire a proffessional cleaner. According to the apartment complex if you dont hire a cleaner yourself it is beyond normal wear and tear. This doesn't sound legal to me. Does anyone know what the phrase means under the law?

My mom ate at a sea food restaurant and a day later got really sick and had to go to the ER they said that it was an allergic reaction to the shrimp she had(she never was allergic before). then a day and a half goes by and she got sick again and had to go back to the ER. Then the doctors said that she had got food poisoning. they changed her medication and she seemed to get better. about 2 weeks later she went to a burger stand and had oinon ring and a couple of hours later she ended up in the ER agian! My sisters said that the oinion rings smelled like fish and so did the french frys they ordered. My question is: Could she sue the burger restaurant for frying fish (or any type of sea food) in the same oil they fry onion rings, french frys, and other food? Is it against the law? or any health codes?

I know this is America and while we are more fasinated with "celebs" than our own mental well-being, that of our children, and the proper functioning of our government........I think the freedoms of the "paparratti" (or how ever you spell it) is outrageuos. I'm not one to "hate" on anyones means of making a living. Is there a document that one can file with the local authority, to demand immunity from punishment, when "assulting" an alledged "photographer" or something?

Some say huge student loans prevent them from starting a family. should the US govenrment offer more assistance for young people?

I entered into a contract on a piece of property. I had a due diligence period for permitting and environmental testing. I had to get several extensions due to multiple environmental problems. Prior to closing I asked the owner to come down on the price due to the extra costs his prior enviro. issues caused me. We were close to an agreement when the final day of the contract arrived when I asked him to sign a 2 week extension but he did not. We continued to negotiate the next week and he then told me that he no longer wanted to do the deal. This is after 2 1/2 years of extensions and $200,000 in engineering costs on my part. I then told him I would honor the original price of the contract and he said he changed his mind and is pulling out. Do i have any recourse? The contract did expire without us closing but i was always under the impression we would come to an agreement and close ASAP. Any thoughts?
