I started smoking when I was 14 anyway so will changing the age make a difference seeing as most people start before the legal age? If not why are we wasting taxpayers money on advertising and paperwork?

My mother and Uncle were both appointed executors of my late great aunt's will. All three of us, and two others, have been left a small sum of money, which we apparently cannot receive without all of us signing a disclaimer. None of the others need this money, however, I do as I need to pay off debts. My mother and I have fallen out recently and she has a cheque and a document for me to sign in order to have the money, however she is refusing to meet with me to hand it over, and it needs to be done from executor to beneficiary by hand and signed for in executor presence. Is she allowed to withhold it in this way?

its something about who will watch those who make the law or something.... I'm having a total brain fart right now but I'm trying to include it in a paper...

its something like "(something something something) but who will watch the watchers?"

I dont think the word "watchers" is used though... is that it?

While the monks in Burma fight for democracy, the government here is planning to intercept our phone calls and listen in on our mobiles. This information will be supplied to loads of government bodies! Apparently this will help fight terrorism. RUBBISH. To all those who say 'if you have done nothing wrong then you have nothing to fear' are aiding this big brother culture. Why oh why is our privacy being attacked and stripped from us bit by bit??? I have a right to privacy, it's a liberty that is a god given right and i will not give it up for a snivelling nosey bunch of jobs worth sly filth while others die for their rights, we willingly give ours away....

Personally I'm pro-choice, but I can understand the pro-life position.

Still, I can't understand how anyone can be against abortion when it is necessary to save a woman's life. There are actually countries: Chile, Malta, Nicaragua, and El Salvador where abortion is illegal even for those reasons. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/29/AbortionLawsMap.png

I even read an article about how before it was illegal for all reasons a child who had been raped and also needed an abortion to save her life had one in Nicaragua. The Nicaraguans protested against her abortion! How can anyone support making a child die to save the life of a fetus that would probably die anyway?

My friend is somewhat of a kleptomaniac and has issues with stealing for the last year or so. Finally, it caught up with her. She got caught stealing some batteries from Cub Foods and landed herself a 424 dollar ticket. She is 17 so apparently her parents will not be notified. She told me her court date is coming up on October 30th and she is hoping to get the ticket reduced or eliminated. However, how much time does she have to pay the ticket? Is it due by her court date or will she be told at court? Also, the timing of this is pretty bad. She is a senior in high school and is applying for colleges right now. Will this show up on her record if she pays the ticket or completes community service? She is really nervous/scared and asked me for help so I decided to post the situation on here. Any info is greatly appreciated!

Im 17. in sum 05 i have spine fusion for scoliosis. 1month later found out a screw "came loose" and had another operation for that. everything was ok.. except i had some pain but the doc said everything was normal. in 07 i had really bad back pain.. i told the doc and we made appointments. but like a week b4 them he cancelled. in aug 07 i found out a screw broke and the lumbar part of my back did not fuse. i decided to get the med records and it says that the doc thought that during the surgery #1 the screw that eventually came loose was too lateral but maybe ok... but more importantly.. the docs noted in AUG 06 a screw was fractured... he did not try to contact me in any way until i was able to get an appointment in aug 07... wat should i do?

The brunches from my neighbors tree drop leafs on my roof, as leafs and brunches accomulate on the roof and threaten the safety of my house. So, it is very desirable limbing the neighbor tree. It seems that there are three possible answers to my questions and I do not know what is right:

a) my neighbor must pay for the limbing of his tree
b) my neighbor must allow me to limb his tree but I have to pay for it
c) I have no rights in the matter
d) The law is not clear on the issue

I have a small machine shop. My mother wanted to retire and asked me to move back home with her and move my machine shop into her garage so that I would be closer and I could help maintain her place. After a few months she wanted her privacy, (time with boyfriend), and didn't want me there anymore. Now she won't even let me come out and do my work. I spent 1000's moving my machinery and rewiring her garage and it will cost me 1000's more to move it back out along with losing quite a bit of work from this. Can I sue her? Do I have any kind of case? My brother and sister already do not speak to her and I will no longer after I correct this issue.

Do they still preach it as fact? The book of mormon states that Hebrews were ancestors of the Indians...yet DNA evidence has PROVEN that the American Indians came from Asia, AND there is NO recorded documentation that EXIST today *outside of the book of mormon* that shows evidence of hebrew culture ANYWHERE in that region. hmm any thoughts?

Thanks
