Time and again the Apex court has shown it's color. it's bad for the aborogines of this great country, we must respect the view's of the majority in a democracy or else--

in a democracy MP/MLAs are elected by the people ( based on the maxm votes polled for a candidate.) and the govt at the state/centre is formed by the majority support. the govt in a democracy is of the people ,for the people and by the people. Rules of the land comes later. the rules are to protect the rights of the majority. All courts incl Apex court must a follow this simple rule or else the selected people tends to supersede the elected govt which is too bad for the democracy. point i have made whether the Apex Court remained moot spectator allowing Chakka Jam by BJP which tried to show it's strength and now trying to Gag DMK just because it's a Dravidian party.

The people are not supreme, it is the law which is above everyone, including the people. We live in a democracy which is governed by Rule of Law not poll numbers or popular opinion. The very right to life is granted by Art. 21 of the constitution and it can be taken away by due process of law.

If the Supreme Court has held that strikes are illegal, then it is the law of the land, everbody including political parties are bound by this if they dont obey they have to face contempt of court proceedings. I believe the S.C has warned the tamil nadu govt. before hand to obey or face the consequences. time and again karunanidhi has courted trouble and i think this time by defying the supreme court, the apex organ of the judiciary and the third arm of govt. he has has taken on more then he can chew.

I am not sure if these politicians are educated or if they just dont understand law or if they think they are above law ?

The job of the elected Government is to govern - not to organise bandhs and incite goondas. it is another matter that the party is made up of such. Did the State Government take up the Sethu project though the same party has been in power since the mid 60's? what has been the developmental role played by the successive governments except for providing doles out of public money and giving out contracts to party men for constructing useless edifices and for sand quarrying. TN will turn into a desert and an ecological disaster and then too they will blame the Centre.

Time and again Apex court and high courts and lower courts have been approached, when it suits, like filing defamation.
why grudge now? public interest is larger;
if you are seriously
ill today, by getting medical attention tomorrow due to bandh, will you die tomorrow!
if you will say death is honourable than living, even that you cannot impose.
in this fake democracy, sticking notice on public transport to state , 'no bus tomorrow', whether you like it not, is contempt of court.
