ok, heres the rundown. my dad works for a major corporation, and he recently switched from going full time to part time, so he could get a 2nd job at a mcahine shop that pays more. anyway, m y dad's company said that they were going to reduce his wages to make up for this. they didnt tell him how much, but it was supposed tobe reduced 25%, however, the change must have not gotten registered, and they still payed him the previous amount. they told my dad on tuesday, and now to make up for it, they are taking it all out of his next check, which puts the grand total at 0.00$. i was just wondering if there is anything we can do about this, because this just doesn't seem fair. i mean, i can see them wanting their money back, but they are a multi billion $, international corporation, and we are not, they could jhave least asked for it back in small incrememnts over time, not all at once. any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ok i've been with this company for 4 years and i recently got transferred to another store and i worked with this lady before and she didnt have her position that she has now. So she thinks she can talk crazy to everyone and threated to fire people just because they move at thier own pace..
This is what happened to me
I called out from work today for some problems that im having with my kids. So instead of me staying at home i came to work anyway. So when i arrived my boss wasn't there yet i did my morning duties and i started to work . She was in a fu**cked u mood .Then I went to the office and asked her for a hat so I can work. I've been asking for uniforms for weeks and you haven't gave me one yet.she said i'm not giving you a hat . So she comes out the office this place is dirty clean it. I did clean it. she starts to holler and scream and fired me. and the bad part about it it was so unprofessional the way she did it in front of customers and my co workers. What should I do

Why aren't we called "Caucasion American"? Why do we not feel offended by being branded as "white? I honestly do not care which of these we are "labeled". I just want to be known as a PERSON and not a COLOR!

I did not pay a deposit.

I had to get out of my previous house as I had exchanged contracts with our buyers. So I was homeless!

Can i get compensation?

The house has not sold yet and it was 1 year 3 months ago, I physically lost £5,000 worth of costs.

Someone has put an offer in to purchase the property now, can we get our costs back from the equity of the sale?

I do believe the couple are extremely in debt.

It totally beggars belief that people in a hospital are being told that knitting is forbidden as the needles could injure someone. Also, the case of a young boy drowning because two PCSO's stood by waiting for somebody trained in water rescue to turn up. This compensation culture is total and utter LUNACY and it is high time the whole legal profession was given an almighty kick up the ****. Greedy lawyers who I feel are to blame (anything to help them line their pockets) should be struck off. This stands a far greater chance of happening if the British people wake up and get rid of Gordon Brown and his fat, piggy bunch of w@nkers in power.

Specifically, I'm talking about the recent health care plan vetoed by Bush.
Think about this before you answer -
No, health care isn't written into the constitution, but remember Doctors didn't charge a hundred bucks for an office visit, and the country has changed vastly since 1776. Health insurance was non existant back then. (and for the record, slavery was legal and women didn't vote...we changed that for the better, didn't we?)

Don't think you have to support other's people's kids? Technically, No, you don't. But the schools you and your family attended, the home you live in, food you eat, the roads you drive on, and life as you know it was established by the blue collar worker. The lower class is the foundation of the upper classes. I could not have gotten where I did today without them, neither could you.

So the question, do we have a moral obligation to help those of a lesser status?

I absolutely believe that the Federal Goverment may not infringe on the right of any State to arm those citizens it chooses to in order to form a "well regulated militia." Are there those of you who are so misinformed like the newest version of Rudy Guiliani, who think the amendment actually says something else?

The company I work for in Oklahoma has a 90 day restriction on how long they have to give you a light duty assignment. Even tho mine was split here and there, I am now using the last 10 days of the 90 and then I will have to go LOA and draw workers comp checks? Does anyone know how long this money lasts? The doctor doesnt see me again until later Oct. but the problem isnt going away that easy so I got to wondering. Also, can someone on LOA from one job and drawing workers comp. work a very small part time job as long as it didnt defy the restrictions given by the doctor?
Thank you.

My daughter (she is 16) was in Tennessee and was driving my car (We are from MS, she is insured to drive it as well, though). She allowed one of her guy friends, who is 16 as well and lives in Arizona, to drive my car, and he ran it off the road and into a forrest going about 70 or 80 mph going around a curve she told me (It was still drivable however, and the cops never came and filed anything, It was about 2am and they were heading back to our house we had rented in TN). There is about $3000 worth of damage done to my car, and I was wondering if the boy driving my car would be held responsible for the damages? Oh, and we don't want to turn it into our Insurance because if we do they will probably drop us (the car was in a wreck in 2006).
Thanks
