I read about the knitting story, take a look at this one...
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/09/24/nbikeban124.xml
The police are being stopped from riding their bikes, in case they fall off and hurt themselves!! Are they going to ban them from carrying arms, or perhaps stop them wearing badges in case they prick their finger??
I can understand the logic behind the idea, but it's little Hitler personalities who's power goes to their head and they take everything to the extreme, it's utter madness that we let them get away with it.

Who the hell are the Health and Safety people I would like to know. Where did they come from.
I worked as a coalminer in the 1950s and 60s and if men were killed or seriously injured it was talked about as a hazard of the job.
Fishing was another hazardous occupation along with Rolling Mills, Shipbuilding and Steel furnacesand others, but people just got on with it, we didn't have all this crap.
The trouble is, 600, 000 jobs were created for people by Gordon Browm in the public sector and they had to do something.
These H & S people seem to be a law unto themselves and as long as they have these good, well paid jobs with the powers they obviously have, things will never improve.
The only answer I agree, is to get shot of 'Smiler' Brown and get these people put out to grass.

There is no health and safety issue involved here, I am a safety representative and all that is happening is that people are hiding behind non existant laws to cover their own ineptitude and penny pinching ways. It is the same with the data protection act, very few people know what the health and safety and data protection laws are about and so crooked companies, the police etc are allowed to hide their imcompetence behind laws that actually do not exist it is all a cop out and of course it is always the Europeans or do gooders that get blamed when in fact it is ignorant clowns who only want to blame others who hide behind such laws.

Love the question , i think precisely an identical.... it starts off from day one are you able to think of if throughout the time of the international wars if somebody had suggested that combating became too risky for young ones ( and a few have been very youthful) and that human beings ought to no longer circulate to conflict... in those days human beings familiar the international for the sometimes merciless place that this is, they did no longer run from it.. We look to stay in a society that thinks the international could be some style of utopia ... and that something that even looks like it might circulate in contrast is erroneous.... human beings look to experience loss of existence is unnatural, human beings have missed basic experience, no one desires to get injury and maximum individuals learn how to sidestep it besides the shown fact that this is purely by way of taking some knocks and falls in existence that we learn.. I purely ask your self what has made human beings this type .. are you able to think of how infants born into this international will guard existence...

Health and Safety legislation has nothing to do with the welfare of the working man/woman.
It's a cop out for government and their associated industries to prevent compensation payments on their incompetent behaviour towards safety and "lets get the job done lads" as they sit with a cup of tea watching who's not doing what!!!!
It will come back and bite them on the aase??

Gosh Dirk, I'll bet you are glad to get that off your chest!, but seriously, I have to agree with you, only today, a Headmaster was fined £20,000 for allowing a three year old boy to jump down three steps pretending to be Batman, the boy unfortunately died as a result, but as we all know, you can't wrap kids up in cotton wool!!

It IS LUNACY.
Its because of lawsuits and insurance costs. The more frivelous lawsuits you see and hear of, the higher the cost of insurance, and the higher the cost of medical care.
Dr. Ron Paul (Republican for president) has a plan to end such lawsuits to help DRIVE DOWN medical costs.

Why you blaming Brown.
It was the norm ages before he became Prime Minister.
You want to wake up, join the real world, and get yourself educated at a school not the street-culture you obviously had.
One born everyday, every bloody day.
