if your 16 years old and have lived with your mum all your life until recently and probaly lived with your dad for a month now. without any contact at all with him before you moved in really can your mum legally send you to the army against your will?
by the way we live in australia

No. The Australian Army will not accept any cadet that was unwilling to join - why would they waste the money on training an unwilling private?
And even then they do not accept anybody under 18 years of age. And you would be required to pass a physical and exams beforehand.
It is an empty threat.

Absolutely not. No one can legally be put into the military by their parents against their will. The person who is to join must voluntarily sign, and any coercion against the person would have to be kept secret from the military recruiters. If you parents are putting pressure and you definitely do not want to join (this is not a matter of being 16 years old) then you can tell the recruiter that you do not want to join and you won't join. The repercussions you may experience from the parent(s) are a different matter, but legally you do not have to join if you do not want.

No parent can force you into the military in the US, and I'm assuming that since Australia is also a civilized democracy the same holds true there.

I really dont think you can be forced. If your having further problems, bring it up with social services

u have the right of child rights & u can stop them from doing so...it depends upon your capacity..if i were u . i would have definitely stopped them to let me move.

No she cant. Fight for your right. Speak up, dont be afraid of adults. Be strong and confident and dont take crap from them.
