Stalking is illegal because it is harrassing and invading someone's privacy. Why should photographers be allowed to harass and invade celebrities' privacy just because they can sell their pictures? Isn't everyone who buys their pictures a stalker by proxy, paying the paparazzi to stalk celebrities for them? Wikipedia says: Paparazzi is a term for photographers who take candid photographs of celebrities, usually by relentlessly shadowing them in their public and private activities. Celebrities claiming to have been hounded by such photographers often use "paparazzi" and even "stalkarazzi" as a pejorative term.

How does someone go about purchasing a license for a public performance of another artist? Who do you talk to? How much does it cost? Is it a one time fee or a recurring fee? Thanks to anyone who can answer this question.

I've been saving money for school since I was 8 years old. It got put into a passbook account entrusted to my name. That passbook account was transferred to my aunt's name without my name on it about two years ago, but it was still my money with me having "100% control over it."

Now I'm 18 and want the money to be transferred to my savings account, because I'm in college. I was told point blank by my dad that he will never give me the money, and my aunt won't give it to me without his "permission" because she's his sister.

Legally is there anything I can do? No one in my family has contributed to the account except for me. It is 100% money that I have earned and saved over my life.

My dad told me that it would "keep it safe until I was in college." I don't know why exactly he wanted it in my aunt's name. I allowed it to be done because as my father I trusted him. The money wasn't primarily in my name ever so it wasn't really a matter or me "allowing" him to put it in my aunt's

"I think it sends out a devastating message that if you want to do big business, don't do it in the north-east of Scotland."

This was said to a reporter and on camera and on the news. It was said after the local council refused permission to build a golf course.

At my dorm there is this stairwell with plenty of space, so I stored my bicycle there, it is far from being in the way of people going up and down the stairs. Now is this considered a fire harzard, even though it does in no way interfere with anyone? And do I have the right to place that bike there, since the stairwell is considered public space? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

In March of this year my Fiance took out a loan of 5G and lent it to a friend of his from work. The guy was supposed to take over the loan completely and make the payments. He was supposed to take care of it all. Well of course he took off with the 5G. Now he didnt sign anything saying he got the money, and my fiance didnt give him a cheque. The only proof we have is that the 5G went in and out of my fiance's account, then the other guy got 5G richer later in the day. Now the guy wont return our calls nor pay us back. What can we do? Is it even worth getting involved legally, or will we just lose because of our own stupidity? Thanks!

If somebody commits a crime for racial reasons, it is considered a hate crime. But if you murder somebody out of love, it's not called a love crime. If you kill a woman to take her purse, it's not called a money crime. Why does it matter that the crime was fueled by racism? Can't we just prosecute based on the severity on the crime?

I just got a job at a independently owned coffee shop in downtown Chicago. I was surprised that I did not fill out any paperwork following my hiring (but I did give my SS# on the application). I've been searching hard for a job for many months now and this is the only position I have been hired for. There are no breaks, but we can eat or drink whenever, I was told, but it always seems to be too busy. I don't mind the break thing too much, but the combination of the two makes me a little suspicious. I am more concerned with me being undocumented as a worker there, and possibly running into problems later if something happened. All the workers tell me not to worry, but the one with the most senority has been there 3 months.

Of course, I do not want to speak up since I was just hired and could possibly risk losing my job.

Ok I don't drink alcohol cause I have a stomach thing and it upsets my stomach..Ok so yea I like to smoke pot. Whats the big deal? I mean go to Denver and it's pretty much legal, as long as you don't have a large amount..I think it's the same in California..Ok so I smoke pot sometimes..I'm in my early 20's like I said I DO NOT DRINK!!! Lots of people my age get drunk everynight, or even every weekend and act like idiots, have sex with random people and drive cars risking peoples life's..But it's legal to drink so whatever most people don't care. Why is it a crime if I wanna smoke a joint when I get home from work? Seriously I mean it's so not a big deal. So why do people rag on people who wanna relax and smoke..I'm an educated person with a good job and my own car ect..Why do people care what I do, Yeah I smoke some pot but it's not worse than drinking..Why do you care I mean seriously can someone explain please

I am 26 and have lived away from home since I was 18....I talked to my Mom tonight on the phone (she lives in another state) and she said a police office rang her doorbell and asked if I was there.
My Mom got scared and just told the police officer I did not live there...He then said "Well, I will just send this paperwork back then." And my mom shut the door...(she didn't know what to do).
She said maybe it was because I have late bills....I have a school loan out in the amount of about $1500 and a way overdue credit card account but if you add it all up the total is under $4000....It seems pretty drastic to me to send the police for this.
The only other thing I can think of is during high school I had a older man that stalked me....I had to get a restraining order on him....although this was years ago, do you have to renew it?
I have not been in trouble....
So any ideas why the police knocked on my moms door? Thanks!!!
