Ok Ok now people lets get real here with the pot issue?

Ok I don't drink alcohol cause I have a stomach thing and it upsets my stomach..Ok so yea I like to smoke pot. Whats the big deal? I mean go to Denver and it's pretty much legal, as long as you don't have a large amount..I think it's the same in California..Ok so I smoke pot sometimes..I'm in my early 20's like I said I DO NOT DRINK!!! Lots of people my age get drunk everynight, or even every weekend and act like idiots, have sex with random people and drive cars risking peoples life's..But it's legal to drink so whatever most people don't care. Why is it a crime if I wanna smoke a joint when I get home from work? Seriously I mean it's so not a big deal. So why do people rag on people who wanna relax and smoke..I'm an educated person with a good job and my own car ect..Why do people care what I do, Yeah I smoke some pot but it's not worse than drinking..Why do you care I mean seriously can someone explain please

OK, lets get real here. I have a relative in law enforcement and overall, despite the fact that pot is illegal, many cops use common sense and don't waste time chasing potheads with a few joints stashed in their cigarette packs.
Why? Because of the points you've stated. Someone high on weed behind the wheel isn't going to pose the same risk to himself or other drivers than someone who is drunk. It is estimated that up to half the inmates in prison commited their crimes while drunk. There's no way that same statement could be made about pot.
Here's another little tidbit regarding my local law enforcement. There was a pot dealer around who sold joints and bags for several years. He sold to mostly teens and adults that used it behind closed doors. This dealer was in this business for about 4 years. He decided to upgrade to cocaine. Within 5 months he was busted and sent to prison for possession of cocaine.
During his hearings, the sheriff told him off the record that they knew he dealt pot... and if he had just continued to quietly deal pot without getting into the coke they would have left him alone.
I don't smoke pot myself. But pot just has this stigma to it, when it comes to what people think of it in general. Its a bit strange when you think that many people look at someone weird when they find out they smoke pot...and they will also look at someone weird if they find out they DON'T drink!!! Almost like a person is labeled "uptight" or something if they don't like getting drunk. Weird.

do what you wanna do in your home , but dont drive well under the influence of pot , cause it impaires your responce etc just like drinking does , as for cali it depends on the officer that finds the pot some will shune it off well others will give u a ticket , if you are caught with any on you well driving they can also get you for transporting a controlled subtance etc do what u want but keep it in your own home what one does behind his or her own doors is there own bussness knowone elses unless you are manifacturing or saling drugs , or are abusing a child in anyway , then it becomes everyones busness , and a word of advice if u dont want pepole putting you down for smoking pot then stop telling pepole u smoke either be prepared jobs in the future may drug test ,, and pot dosnt always stayt in your system 4 to 6 weeks some times longer depending on your matabolism as well as how long and how much u smoke ansd not all the things on the market that claims to give u a clean drug tezst works for all pepole just like medications those clean test products dont work for everyone or clean your test for all drugs , your young , please no matter what u deside be carefull and like alchol pot marijuana can be and is addecting and impairs ones judgement , u may niot think it does but it does so be carefull

It is a Federal crime because some hard heads in the 1920s decided to make it illegal.
My grand dad smoked it back when it was legal and he wondered what the big deal was. He quit because he knew it would be bad for his lungs if he continued and he wanded to be able to think clearly.
Pot masses with your memory and thinking process more than one realizes when using.
I think all our drug laws should be examined because of the prison overcrowding and other problem that have been caused or made worse due to the "war on drugs". That is a failed policy that we have yet to own up to.

what does drinking which is legal have to do with driving drunk which is not legal?
i guess it is okay to break the law and do irresponsible things because your peers do irresponsible things.

if you want to toke then fight to legalize it,
don't try to rationalize it with other stupid behavior.
