i dont agree with this law. but i think if a buisness choses not to allow smoking that it should be ok. i think it should be ok to smoke outside places, in our homes, and in our cars. i am a smoker and i respect anyone who isnt. i dont go around blowing smoke in peoples faces. i dont make people buy my cigarettes.. and if im in a bar, i want to smoke when i drink.. i think this law is taking away our rights.. i wouldnt stop going to a place to eat because of it. and i think someones got a problem if they cant walk through a walmart without having a cigarette.. its your right not to smoke.. but dont put down people who do.. alot of smokers want to quit! me being one of them! but its hard. think about how you act when you dont have your morning coffee? same thing.. smokers will quit when there ready..

coming from the uk myself, we have become a non-smoking nation, not so much outside is banned, but anywhere enclosed, or sheltered is not allowed, i ask this question, in say 20 more years time, i dont see any of us in the world will have freedom of choices and speech, we will all be controlled by control freaks, one man in the uk was taken to court for letting his customers still smoke in doors, he was fined alot of money and escaped a sentence in prison for it, a spokes person had a point, what if everyone stood upto the government and allowed smoking to go on, in designated areas in pubs and enclosed spaces? they cudnt send everyone to jail and fine them all, ? i hate the way society has become. ever watched the film demolition man? thats what we will become. :(

I do not agree with it. I think the government is leading up to the point of telling us what to wear. And a lot of restaurants have closed down because people can not smoke in them. Like Ned Kelly's or Outback Steakhouse in Peoria Illinois.

firstly. hallo.to answer your question, this law mean that people who smoke have to abstain themselve when they are in public.you know, some people are very weak and i dont think it's fair to put their live in danger. about smoker,i respect them.if i can say some thing to help them,i can just say that :if you want ,you can! if per day you can smoke 1 paquet of cigarette, try to smoke 1 paquet per 2 days, the day after,1 per 3days and so for...try to stay away from people who smoke.find someone who can help you,who can encourage you to stop smoking. the mean point is to want!

I think they are enforcing that law in cali too. Allowing us to smoke in certain designated smoking areas. Oh wells, I just quit a month ago. Smoking's bad anyways and I feel 10x better.

You should be able to smoke in a bar provided you agree to clean your ashtray at the end of the evening with your tongue.

yeah we have laws like that in australia.. laws are you are not allowed to smoke in bars and the other was no smoking on the beach, in enclosed areas.. etc..
But they're banning smoking in cars soon too.. I think it sucks that they think they can take away our freedom and dictate everything we do.
Damn.

Perhaps some people don't want to be forced to inhale the by-product of the poison your ingesting into your own body. What vitamins you take doesn't affect me. But your smoking does. I shouldn't have to try to avoid people on the streets for my own safety.I'm all for the law, I wish one was enforced in my town.
