I found this information about the distribution of property during a divorce for my state....

"equitable distribution" state. ... the Circuit Court will take the following approach to dividing the assets; It will distribute the marital assets between the two parties in an equitable fashion. Equitable does not mean equal, but rather what is deemed by the Circuit Court to be fair.

There is no doubt that my husband was the one to generate the income to pay our morgage. (He makes 4Xs what I make) The monthly payment alone is more then my entire income for a single month!
Does this mean I walking away with very little (or none) of the equity in our home? We have been married and lived in this house for almost 5 yrs.
We don't have kids.

My niece, doesn't live with her mother nor go to school anymore by her choice at the age of 17(state of Texas). She lives with her boyfriend which just last night beat the crap out of her to the point that she's going into reconstructive surgery tomorrow! She claims that she got jumped by some girls and didn't call the police. Everyone knows that he's the one who did it. Does the mom still have the right to file charges on him for assault/battery?

Israeli companies are using UK property shows to sell housing in illegal Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank, Guardian Unlimited can reveal.

At the Israel Property Exhibition at Brent town hall, North London last Sunday, one company, Anglo-Saxon Real Estate, was offering for sale properties in Maale Adumim and Maccabim. Both West Bank settlements lie on the Palestinian side of the so-called green line, the pre-1967 boundary and often cited as the border between Israel and a future Palestinian state.
The apathetic amounst you are saying so what i would want to move there anyway, spain is better, BUT these settlements are ILLEGAL and the UN has warned israel many times not to expand these, but obviously it doesnt give a sh*t. Isnt it time for a UN force to go into Israel and stop these illegal settlements from expanding. Must we wait another 60 years ?

I have been working for a Big company for over a year, I am Foreign, from canada, I do a good job, even one of the supers told me that. However, this company has not been given me extra hours that I have told them I need, I have asked other workers, and they have told me that they are getting extra hours, but when I ask, its always a no. Im getting mix anwers from other managers saying they need extra help, but when I go to the top manager for my dep, i always get nothing. BTW, I was born in the UK, but they dont know that. How much more evidence do we need to express how terribly bad our justicial system is? Take you pick of celebrities who are getting away with murder (literally in OJs case). If one of us did any of this we'd locked up forever.
Why is the system so obvious in favoring celebs? How can they get away with it?

I used to work at a privately owned arcade, but I quit because it was fishy.

We were paid "under the table" which means no taxes were taken out and we were paid in cash. Only one or two people were actually on a pay roll. Our pay could be docked if we played games during shifts; we weren't given an actual break. This means if you worked a Saturday night you had no rest.

Also, I know for a fact that I am the only girl that worked there because, in the words of someone that worked there for over 8 years, "they don't hire girls".

I feel like I could get in trouble for not giving the taxes I was supposed to, but further more, the business is just scandalous.

I went in to pick up the money from the two shifts I worked but they denied me pay for a whole day. What should I do?

Is there a way to bring the business to justice?

**By the way, this is my weekend job. I'm not just trying to ruin the company; I just want my money.

I really get into alot of troubling arguments with my parents.
And i really sorry to say dont trust them on alot of things, they cant be trusted is the sad part ...

So if something were to happen to me, death sickness or anything that would leave me unable to make choice or answer

how can i make my friends my Attorney? I have two close friends that i would trust with my life, How could i make them my Legal attorneys at hand instead of my parents?
and not my family?

He did a walk-thru, and said yes it was a horrible site. Black mold, Mushrooms growing in the walls, and water damage thru-out my EXPENSIVE APT. Now, I lost over $6000.00 of brand new furniture, and had to move. When I asked him for a written report for this, he said.."The apartment complex hired their own inspector and found NO problem."
I have pictures and samples that show absolute proof! The City wants me to gag me. I know & so does my DR., and 7 other adults who helped me pick through what ever I could bring with me.
What is my next step?
How can I go over the Citys head for compensation?
"They", don't want any BAD publicity, and I feel wronged/ and am horrified that this is happening'

The State of California has denied my first 30 days of benefits
because they said the paperwork was filed too late.

I cannot get help from my company's HRR dept.

I got a small fine to pay for a speeding ticket I got in south-west Ontario where I live. My first language is French. On the options I see on the back it says I can choose to appear in court to contest the charges. It also has the option that I get a trial held in French if I wish. My question is: How much of a chance this mostly English neighbourhood small town court, where it would be held, will mobilize a judge, prosecutor, etc... that are all French and the police officer so to force me to pay this $138.75 fine? Please be objective as i will not only get advice from answers provided here.

My son is in rehab and my ex-daughter in law says that she doesn't have to let me see my granddaughter, who is 5, on what is my son's weekends. We took her to see him in another town yesterday and her mom is throwing a fit. My son has a history of drugs so I don't want to push the issue. Can she get where she doesn't have to let us have our granddaughter? we always have had our granddaughter since she was born by the way on the weekend that was our sons.

If you are taken to the emergency room in IL and you do not pay the fees (which are extremely high for simply lying in bed taking a urine test) can they put you in a collection agency? Is there a way to argue the fees without having to go to court and getting a lawyer?
