I applied for a job and was told that i was hired as soon as my background check came back. Well i got into a argument with a neighbor and the neighbor told my other neighbor that she was going to call the place where i was getting the job at and tell them that i only wanted the job so i could steal from the store. The manger told me about the incident and that the same day i was told she was going to do this that she actually did!! Now the manger will not hire me over hear say. After she promised me the job and told friends and family members that i was going to be hired untill my neighbor called and lied on me. Isnt this hear say? Slander? Cant anything be done about this matter? If so, what? Isnt this discrimination? Not to mention the same person has Schizophrenia!! She has harassed me numberous times and called the police on me for false reasons which was found out when the law arrived!! Can anyone help me? Do i need to get a lawyer and should i?

I was wondering if someone (just a regular person) can get paid to help catch internet predators online. Does anyone know anything about this or have any idea who to talk to about this? Would I call my local police? Honestly, I would love to make extra money and I could help fight crime at the same time if I could do this!

I have a judgement against a contractor who has a NEW bond. He has no license though. I'm trying to collect from the bonding company. But they say the claim occurred before they issued the bond. I think he shouldn't have been issued the bond in the first place.

I have a civil state tax lien (NC) that stemmed from a criminal charge 7 years ago. The lawyer who handled my case said he would handle the lien as well, but I don't think he did. Is there a statue of limitation in NC that the state has to collect this debt? If so, what is it and what do I need to do? Please help!

I was just discharged from Boyonet Point hospital, by my attendending Dr. Ramos,Ivan. I was given no explanation and I was told that he had phoned in the discharge just after I had been transferred from rm.#3771 to rm.#2109, It was almost 5:00pm. I had been taken for many tests at about 8:30am and was told the doctor would read the xrays and untra sound tests that I had fasted for the prior night and be given the results later on that night, (evening time). I was discharged with no meds. or instructions. I do know that I was being given antibotics and steriods and some those types of meds should not just be discoutined with out tapering off or taking the full dosage. On the the discharge paper it does say for me to call the doctors office the following day to make an appointment. I am unemployed right now and don't have the money for the appt. and he knew that. There was a pick line in my right shoulder that was taken out very quickly and seems to be bleeding still? Please Help Ms.

While you were at work, how would you handle it?
One day this past week, I came home to find the garage door open. My husband says he knew it went down but he didn't stay behind to see if it actually touched the ground.
-I was pissed, but okay not a big deal.
Second thing that happened was today, I just walked right up to the front door and it was unlocked. He said he knows he locked the front door today and he is absolutely sure of it.
He said he took the trash out the back door and surely enough, the back door was locked. WTH???
How would you handle this?

I was hit on the rear bumper by a woman who was driving without a drivenr's license. Infact she never had a driver's license. The officer told me it was the 3rd time she is caught w/o DL and ticketed. She was excluded from the auto insurance policy of the car she was driving. In the court she claims it was my fault. Does her claim stands good in the court if she never had a DL and excluded from the auto insurance policy of the car she was driving?

I know someone who cuts certains articles and craft projects from a craft magazine, puts them into binders, and sells the binders full of crafts projects. They are original pages and none are photocopied, so I was just wondering what the law is about this.

I won an acoustic guitar on ebay, and when I got the guitar, it had a few huge dings that weren't described in the auction. I made a claim with paypal, and escalated it stating I'd accept a refund of $100, since the guitar obviously was slightly damaged. This was escalated on the 14th, and the buyer has until the 24th to respond. If he doesn't, the claim will be decided in my favor. I really don't think he's gonna respond, and I also don't want a full refund cause I don't want to spend $65 of my own money to ship it back. Question is, will paypal just automatically give me $100 back if the seller doesn't respond? It clearly states that if the seller doesn't respond to the claim by the 24th, it will be decided in my favor. Thanks
