Attorney is stating that even though prelim was requested, probable cause was established via grand jury indictment. This is great attorney, i have had him for years, but for some reason i don't get the good feeling i normally do.

So I bought 2 knee braces the other day (my knees hurt a little bit when I run.) 1 is just a light support brace, the other is a pretty heavy duty support brace. The light 1 was $9.00 while the other was $32.00.

When I was rung up, the guy rang the cheaper one up twice, so my total with tax was almost $20. It was 5 days ago, but I can't stop thinking about it. I feel really bad. I've compromised my integrity for $12! So my question is:

Is it too late to go back and pay the difference?

The owner of my company is paying for my schooling as of now. He just told me I have to pay it back. He says hes been talking to someone about it and they told him if they pay for one employee they have to pay for all employees. We are in a plumbing service business and no one else from the business is going to be going to school but me. Im the accountant. I spoke with my CPA and she told me that is not true. Im just wondering if there is any documentation i could show him- or if anybody knew if that is legal. I wouldnt have signed up for the classes if he wouldnt have said he was going to pay for them. What do i do??

why do cigg. smokers have to subsidize everything in america? every time ya turn around, they add a tax. its not fair.

i know if i start a fire and repeatedly inhale the smoke, eventually ill get sick n die.- im ok with that.- i guess some morons got big settlements and now er'one thinks its ok to tax, tax, tax

if u or a loved one got a big settlement cuz ya smoked for years and got sick, GROW UP AND ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY.

ppl dont die from 2nd hand smoke, so throw that b.s. away
if ya dont like the smell, DONT ALLOW IT IN UR HOME/CAR ETC ETC.
its bad enough we cant go to restaurants or bars anymore
but for godssakes, quit taxing us to death

I have had an open DCFS case. I just learned that I have to to appear at the City Attorney's office for a hearing to see if they want to persue criminal charges. I won't go into deatils but my kids have NEVER been abused - I believe my son's daycare was overzealous in phoning in their concern over literally a scratch on my son's face. Anyways, I just heard from DCFS today that my case has been closed. How will this affect the City Attorney's appt? Thank you!

Who is this guy and is he suing everybody for everything? Look, you have the right to sue in civil court if you were done wrong. But how much is James Sokolove going to keep if you are awarded damages? 10% sounds ok. It will be much more than that I'm sure. Does anybody know? Do such lawyers really care if you receive damages or are they only out to make money?

Really? Why doesn't he charge less?

I have a photograph of my grandmother taken in 1947. It is a professional photograph of her, but I have no idea where she had it taken or who took it.

I'm doing a book through self publishing for some family members and the contract with the publisher says I have to have all applicable copyright waivers from any photographers unless I own the rights to the photograph.

Where do I start?

My doctor placed me on a permanent partial disability with work restrictions. According to these work restrictions, my former employer does not have any work for me. If I go work somewhere else making less money, then does worker's comp continue to make up the difference of the loss in pay that I was receiving at my former job? This really sucks because the job I might end up with might not have medical benefits, but I definitely don't want the cut in pay! I didn't ask for this injury!!!

The township wants us to get rid of grandmothers trailer now that they realized she died four years ago. I use the trailer as a computer room and TV room to watch the games, wrestling, or boxing matches on. They claim it is illegal to have an un-occuppied trailer in the township. Yet the laws states no trailer can be in the township occuppied or unoccuppied with out a permit: which I have.

So last night my fiance and I were out driving, we decided to get something to eat. We are driving up a 4 lane road and I see this silver jetta speeding towards us and I'm thinking to myself, that guy's gonna cause and accident...well sure enough, he hasn't gotten 3 blocks past us and smashes into to someone making a left turn. Now I saw him speeding (the limit was 60km/hr, he had to be doing at least 80, even though I don't have a radar gun to prove it), I saw the person that was turning but didn't actually see the collision. Should we have stopped to be witnesses????????
