My roommate Get taped shoplifting from her job 20 days a go. when the security asked her did she take anything she said NO. but the tape say something Else. the security called the police and they make a report. they let her go but she lost her job. and cant shop from that store anymore. she tough that is over. yesterday I reserved a phone call from the officer asking me to let her now that her need to turn her self in to the police station. I picked her up and let her know that she need to turn her self in . she was really scared. when we get there asked the officer whats ganna happen she told me she is getting arrested and she ganna take her to the magistrate I'm district court of my county. she told me if she doesn't have any criminal record they will let her go with a bound. of 2000 dollars. she don't have nobody. so I had to bound her. I was wait ting there 4 hours she came out crying I felt so bad for her she told they treated her like criminal. and she was so scared. now she have a court day nest two months.the court date papers said she took Items below 200. what is ganna happened next. she cant afford a lawyer/ and is shes ganna go jail?!! we live in VA Fairfax county thank u

this is really long sorry. I am 16 and my friend, lets call her karen, is 15. She told me she was sexually abused two years ago, before christmas, and told my friend in the end of july. Karen and her family moved to North Carolina, and she came to new jersey for the summer. My friend, maria, and I were talking about it and my dad overheard. He talked to karen and then talked to her mother. Her mother said she would kick him out. Then she said they would go to family counselling, now karen not suppossed to talk to me about anything that goes on at home. Recent developements prove that is a great possibility that he had sex with Karens older sister, and he's back in karens house. He has also phisically and verbally abused her in front of me and my parents. Is there anyway to get her out of that house where she is alone with him? If there is anything legally we can do, but since she went to NC and I'm in NJ it's not like we can testify or anything. All I want is for her to be safe.

I bought goods online in June and didn't receive them, contacted store for refund - no joy, they wouldn't reply. So I contacted PAYPAL - they wouldn't do anything as 45 days had elapsed. I went to my bank and under the 'direct debit guarantee' I received a refund from the bank.
Next, I get nasty emails from paypal demanding I repay the amount into my (now restricted) account, even though I had no goods.
They have altered my transaction history to show that the June payment had failed when it had originally stated it cleared.
I have never had trouble paying anything and always paid on time, now I'm being 'victimised' by these clowns.

What shall I do next, legally.. I'm getting SO fed-up???

I am going to take my ex letting agents to court as they owe me £100 of my bond which they are witholding due to made up circumstances (which I can prove).

How do I go about taking them to the small claims? Do I need to send forms to the court? Send forms to them? If I pay the £100 to start things moving and they cave in and give me the money I owe, will I still get my £100 costs back as well or do we have to reach court for that?

Since the Sago mine accident, a bill about safety regulations for coal mines has sat in Congress without passing. Simple measures like making it mandatory for miners to carry radio or telephone equipment to signal their location after mine collapses were included in this bill, yet it has been tabled and not passed. Also included was regulation of the different types of mining, regulating the retreat mining that removes coal pillars holding up the mine ceilings. Now we have another collapse, with six men missing, three rescuers dead, and several others injured. Passage of this bill might have saved these lives. Should all coal mining be halted until this bill is passed? Should the safety of miners be more important than profits for the mine owners?

matter, if a woman says no thats the bottom line. Well she quit ...and my husband told me he did not , I had found a sweet letter to her from my husband appologizing but not to anything in particicular...i asked him why such a loving letter to her when i get nothing like that from him. he said an attourney told him to write a kiss a$$ letter to get back on her good side. I said fine gimmie the attourneys name and number and...he never did give it to me . The other secretary said the one that said my husband raped her said she may not press charges because she would have to go all the way to,las vegas for every court date etc. I told my hub if you did not touch her you had nothing to be afraid of and you were scared if you called a lawyer. not one soul INCLUDING me has any idea of did he or didnt he? I cant help but think if i am his wife of 25 years and i dont know that in itself is pretty damning in itself. I would like some advice and oppions should i stay or go? HELP!

as a cashier in a manufacturing firm, my duty is to receive collections and remittances thru cash and check payments. my concern is payments in checks paid to our company name therefore must be deposited to company's own bank account. can this be deposited to anybody's bank account but with officers signature as endorser?

Hello, Today i woke up early (4Am-ish) and was flicking through my Tv stations, I went to channel 3(Tnt, "turner network teleovision). I was shocked to see Many women fully naked, even showing there privates in perfect view, haveing sexual intercourse with each other. Any one who watches TNT knows this is not what they show, at any time of the day, they show things such as "law and order"(the irony). So i call my Cable company to complain, about a hour later it gets fixed(i recorded all of it as proof). I was just wonering arent channels such as this subjected to laws which state they can not air such things? and if so do you think i have a legal case i should act on?

I was at a family gathering the other night... and my two cousins were arguing over this. One was claming this to be true,, while the other one said it is nothing but prejudice and nonsense filled hatred!! Personally, I am not a hateful guy,, but this argument intrigued me for some reason.

Have been living with this man for almost 3 years now. The relationship has been on and off from the first day. Yes, I know I should have left long time ago but it is not all that easy when you leave your job and bring all your furniture, let out your flat, etc, etc.

He has asked me to leave many times but has also asked me to stay many times. All of a sudden, I get a letter from his solicitor giving me 4 weeks to leave as 'reasonable time'. I talk with 'my partner' and askes him to stay longer as I have the tenants (according with the law you have to serve them 2 mths notice) and am going thru medical treatment in this area so would like to finish it be4 moving away. He asks me to forget about the letter and all is fine again. After 3 wks, he wants me to leave again and denies having said the 'forget about the letter'. He gets more and more obsessed and starts opening my emails, listening to my ph conversations. I tell him to stop. We have a row and he strangles me.

A man I know is planning a suicide death pact thing with a 19yr old girl I know. He is a former police officer and former pastor... but has some serious issues we are in michigan and he is trying to get her to come up in a few weeks to hang together nude and die as they ____.... is it my duty to contact the police or is it legal? Doesn't it make you sick? In the supposed land of "free speech" Don Imus makes one comment - one quick bad joke - and civil rights leaders try to lynch him, they protested outside of NBC, he apologized to everyone, he apologized to the Rutgers' players faces (and they accepted the apology), he lost all of his sponsors, got fired from his job.......and now he's being SUED for the comment??? It's enough to make me sick.

She's also suing MSNBC, NBC Universal, CBS Radio, CBS Corporation, Viacom Inc., Westwood One Radio and Imus' producer Bernard McGuirk.

Enough is enough. Thoughts?

a co-worker who is trying to pull you down? We have different duties and responsibilities as far as the office system is concern. She is appointed to do the accounting system and me i appointed in the purchasing office. Even if we have our own duties and responsibilities in some office tasks, she seems to power play. She seems superior to me when in fact she is not. As far as mine is concern i am diligent with the task given to me no problem with that and at the same time i coordinate with her. She has an attitude problem and when she gets upset because of personal matters, she so mean and rude and gives false information about a task to our superiors esp if things went wrong and she puts the blame on me. She accuses me if things went wrong about the work system. And by the way, she has a special feelings of attraction to one of the superiors. I can sense that she hates me if superiors give praise to my task well done. I don't fight back .How can i deal with her? What shall i do?

Maiden Aunt. Cousin has initiated power of attorney over her affairs without announcing her intentions to other cousins. I think we are all equal status in law as Aunts only relatives are neices and nephews. Can other cousins ask to see copy of this document? Can we stop signing until this is resolved? Dont think cousin concerned is making decisions in Aunts best interests.

Do I report him? It was a mobile concession trailer, an inspector would come at the beginning of every event, but everything was just ingredients still in the packaging, and made to look all "fine and dandy" but when everything really got under way it changed...I overlooked these things...but because I need this course to work for my new employer (I can see why worth 100% of my money) I noticed many things wrong...he had un-reliable fridges that would sometimes not stay at a safe temperature (fridges above 4 Celsius, freezers above -18 c.), he would prepare ingredients like pork days before hand (like totally eww, nobody wants salmonella), boxes/bags of food would be placed on the floor (by law they must be on a shelf 6 inches or higher), and sometimes the floor would even be wet (moisture is needed for pathogens to multiply), there would be risks of cross-contamination, unproper washing of ingredient, and just a bunch of other stuff...using latex gloves, inproper hand washing...
