That's the dumbest idea I've ever heard, which says quite alot

How about this: I will keep my guns AND bullets - I dare you to try and come take them!

Ok, let’s play tit for tat.

I’ll agree with banning bullets if you’ll agree to do away with other things that are dangerous.

The first thing that should be banned is gasoline and diesel fuel. Since the 1950s, the automobile has been the number one killer of people under the age of 40. After 40, natural causes takes the lead. Surprise, it’s not guns! That’s right, most people lack the ability to drive responsibly. Most people are quick to point to drunks, but SURPRISE! It’s not the drunks; it’s the average person. The average person speeds, tailgates, yaps on the cell phone, takes eyes off the road to talk to passengers, in a hurry, and doings all sorts of irresponsible acts. You can have your cars, you just can’t have any fuel to use them!

The average person lacks the understanding and experience to proficiently use a firearm. People always point to some mass murder. One comes along every decade or so. Imagine if the Virginia Tech students would have been armed. If only one of them had been armed, the crazed nitwit that went on a shooting spree could have been dispatched in short order. Even if the Virginia Tech students wouldn’t have been armed, if they hadn’t have been such complacent sheep, they could have charged the idiot and subdued him. But no, most Americans are frickin sheep! “Oh, he’s got a gun! Oh, I don’t want to anger him, Oh, I’ll just cower here in the corner, Oh, he’s shooting other people that are cowering, Oh, I’ll just pretend that he’s not here and maybe he’ll pass by me.”

Imagine how many people I could kill if I chose to run my car through a crowded social function. I could steer my car as people tried to jump out of the way. Unfortunately I can’t steer my bullets once they leave the barrel. Moreover, the car has a frontal area a million times larger than a bullet so the chances of me hitting something are far greater.

Wake up! Guns aren’t the problem it’s the people! We can ban everything that these murdering people would use to kill another and they’ll still find a way to kill. Killing has been going on well before caveman picked up the first rock to bash the other caveman in the head. Before some astute caveman was bright enough to pick up a rock, they simply beat each other to death with their bare hands.

Why are you worried about gun deaths? The car is far more dangerous. The average American doesn’t know even one person that was shot or killed by a firearm. On that same note, the average person knows a couple of people that died in car collisions and dozens that were involved in or injured by car collisions.

I’ll agree to ban bullets when you agree to ban fuels that propel automobiles. After all, autos are by and large far more dangerous!

Why ban either the guns or bullets? Heres a question for you. Should gas be banned? It would cut down on drunk drivers and car crashes, but its a dumb question. Heres another. Should we ban knives? It would eliminate knife crimes for the most part, but its a dumb question. Now where does your question fit in with these?

What a stupid @$$ question. I'm with the above poster. When you are ready to take my guns and bullets, come and get them. . . Oh, wait, that's right, you probably don't have any guns.

Interesting idea but it would take the wind out of the replica market. Usually when a 'gun' is pointed at you I dont think you really care about it being loaded. You just assume it is. Its a psychological fear and need an equivalent answer.

No, and attempting to do so would be the greatest proof you could provide that all citizens should be armed.

What we should have is a tax deduction for every citizen who maintains at least one firearm and ammunition for personal defense.

That's a silly question and I'm wondering what's behind it. I think certain types of bullets, such as hollow tip and cop killing bullets should be banned. Nobody needs those to protect their house. I also think all fertilizer should be tagged - only people who support murder of innocent civilians should think otherwise.
