Personally I support it because if you look to the middle east you can see that theocracies do not work and are riddled with sectarian violence.

Please, no rambling about how it's not in the constitution, I don't care, I'm not asking about the legality, I'm asking about the spirit.

I just want to know how you feel about the spirit of separation of church and state and why.

My brother hit a lady. It was a minor accident as he had applied sudden brake. In consequence of this he had to appear before the court and he pleaded "guilty" and was let off with a fine of 200/-. Now she has filed for compensation. We have the third party insurance. The owner of the vehicle is my sister in law (his wife). Will it pose any difficulty to us as the driver and owner is not the same ? Can the insurance company evade their responsibility because of this reason? Is it necessary that we should refund to the insurance company any compensation paid to them?

My friend needs a divorce. Her husband moved back to Brazil permanently. She couldn't locate his whereabouts in Brazil. Is divorce possible without him legally present in the U.S. Both of them are immigrant american citizens.

What is the process, what does she need to do to get started without spending too much money.

If you dig up antiquities on private property (that you own) in the United States, who owns them? In Italy, the state does automatically. That seems wholly unfair to landowners. I'm thinking about ownership of ancient Indian artifacts, burial grounds, battlefield artifacts, and fossils. I know the federal government owns that which is found on public lands, which makes sense. I'm talking about private lands.

I have lived with my father for the past 6 years, to help him with everything since my mother died. I also run his business which is left to me to keep running after he passes. My brothers and sisters don't like this. Recently, my father took a turn for the worse and is now in the hospital without much time left. My "family" has fought everything I'm trying to do to help him. One of my brothers is a licensed, bonded locksmith. He and the rest of them (4 others) went to our home, changed the locks, added dead bolts, and ransacked all of our rooms. especially mine. My kids and I were locked out for 3 days before I called the Sherriff. They wont arrest any of them. Say's it's a civil matter.??? None of them had permission to be there at all. I had certain orders from my father on what to do if he passed or became hospitalized and I couldn't even do that for him. My father still doesn't even know what my locksmith brother did to his home. I need to fight back. How can I do it? help!

Unable to contact " Robert Half International "of careerbuilder.com so I can obtain a prior written authorization
to include his article on "Four co-workers you should befriend"
in this month's photo album I will donate to a Senior Center.
careerbuilder.com 24/7 'contact staff' couldn't help me. What
do I do? I really would like to include the article in this month's
photo album but at the end of the article it says"Copyright careerbulder.com 2007. All rights reserved. The information
contained in this article may not be published, broadcast or
otherwise distributed without the prior written authority."
I also entered CNN.com/living but to no avail. What happens
if I go ahead and include the article in the photo album I donate
to a Senior Center, considering I have really tried to obtain
what the company asks?

Her mother took her to the doctor and they applied all of the charge to the deductable, so she is saying that I half to pay half of the bill, which i have no problem doing if I am supposed to. Is this right or should she pay it all being that i pay for the insurance

Can anybody who has been in court (not as the accused though) please advise me on court etiquette? I have to assist a solicitor in court as part of my work-experience and would appreciate a bit of advice from solicitors or barristers or even people who have assisted them in court before so that I don't look absolutely clueless when we start preparations for the trial. I would appreciate real advice and no comments from people just having a laugh please. Thanks

the one parent has every other weekend and one day in the week, what are the legal specifications for those visits? Is the "one day" visit all day and overnight, or is it just supposed to be for a few hours? Is there supposed to be a specific "time of pick up/drop off" for the weekend visits, that is observed on the law?

My house mate's (longterm) visitor (who is also her sister) called me a monkey, absolutely unprovoked, not that it would excuse it. But she just left the room and said to the landlord 'Bye Brian', bye monkey!' I asked her if she called me that because I'm black, I had to ask a few times for her to finally say no as she wouldn't answer me. I unfortunately told my fiance and now he is very upset and wants me to sue. I myself can ignore a person who calls me a B** or silly words like that, but not a racial slur.

Please advise. (Oh, I'm in England yes, I'm black.) Thank you in advance.
