My father died 18 months ago and the trustee runs the business but refuses us any information as to business affairs. Also, there is a vast amount of lane to sell but he refuses to discuss this also. What rights do we have that over sees the accounts etc as we know he has not paid paye etc. Please help if you have any answers to help.

As a beneficiary you have the legal right to demand disclosure of how your assets are being used. Have your attorney go after him through the courts.

Why not he has a duty to tell the beneficiaries and must produce accounts at least at the end of his trusteeship. On the face of this he is failing on several counts I wonder if he is hiding something, You may need a lawyer to bring him to his senses, but beware Lawyers love this sort of case it makes them thousands and your inheritance could suffer. So be careful and cost each stage

The trustee is supposed to be the one trusted to deal best with the business - as such he is answerable in full to the eventual beneficiaries.
Get a solicitor onto him - especially if you suspect wrong doing as he could just walk away and leave you with the mess. (OK - legally he shouldn;t - but physically - he could just throw in the towel and refuse to play anymore!)
