But-

what if your company just started for illegal drugs?

Since notice of this policy is done before employment begins, the agreement on the part of the employee is in place. So the only privacy the employee can expect is discreet care and handling if the drug tests come back positive.

The ACLU challenged this and the Supreme Court (under the Reagan administration) declared that the overall safety of the citizens overruled ones personal privacy....
