I am applying for a job as a fleet service agent at an airline company. I have a class b misdemeanor (poss of marijuana). The actual offense/arrest was a little over 10 years ago(25JULY1997). I did deffered adjudication, and my probation ended In November 1998.
Since then, I have a clean record, and am just coming out of a 6 year stint in the airforce. I believe I am more than qualified for this position, but will this old blemish on my record create a problem?

My father started a company 10 yrs ago. My whole family works there. My father just passed away suddenly and had nothing in order for if he passed. My uncle rushed in and replaced my dad as Pres. of the company he was voted in by the board not even a week after he died. My mother sister and I are having a hard time returning to work due to the fact we are still grieving and the fact that they are very hush hush around us now. My uncle is now telling us we need to return or our postitions will be filled. My father always worried we would be forced out somehow if something were to happen to him and it seems they are trying. Other things are going on but that is the big picture. Lawsuit?

Digital Music copyright? If you had an MP3 that was downloaded it is illegal yes, ok so If the MP3 stream was reversed so that song played backwards. Is it still illegal?. At what point does the file become illegal. Surely the same goes if the MP3 was encrypted into a file, would it be illegal still because it is just a jumble of 0's and 1's until it gets decrypted.

Just a thought!

I stayed in a hotel this past weekend. When I first made the online reservation the price was $1649. I dropped a day but the total room rate changed dramatically giving me a charge of $647. After I noticed a larger pending charge on my credit card, which was eventually charged $945, the online past charges showed $1154 to be charged.

I am going to call this morning after my class but what can be done about this if not easily fixed? I have three confirmations, all with different total amounts and different room rates ($199, $329, $349), to which the $349 was what I was charged. I did not get a receipt from the hotel.

Everytime there`s a major scandal, all that happens is the outed say sorry, won`t do it again.

Geez! Poor Paris Hilton had to spend a month in the clink, and went bonko whilst there.

Where is the fairness????

What should happen is that there should be major investigations and on a par with the Nuremberg tribunals (which weren`t much, if you read the historians) to uproot the evils of privacy invasions and/or manipulations as many of these experiments resulted in personal tragedies for many people.
