I just went through a custody battle and I was awarded primary physical custody but was not allowed to move out of state because of the age of my young children. I have to go back in two years and plead my case once again. The only problem is, I really cant afford to live in the expensive area I live in. It does state in the court order that I would be able to go back to court if there were a "Material change in circumstances". What exactly does that mean?

Have been residents at an apartment for 13 years. Always paid on time, no complaints. Only asked for simple maintance to make sure that living is healthy (when faucets have brown water, etc.)

Landlord started screaming at me to get out and move out of the building. told him it was unacceptable to say this. landlord said he wanted to hit me.

This happened to a very close friend of mine.
What are some legal actions that should be taken?
Also, do you think that he could become more violent?
What are some possible legal punishments for him?

Any other ideas, please let me know.

Then you say you will let the people decide democratically. It's nothing short of theft and tyranny. A point in question is Gibralter among others. Here's how it works:
1. Steal the land.
2. Fill it with your own nationality.
3. Have a vote on who owns the territory.
4. You win.
5. Bob's your uncle.

I have watched the news for today for about thirty minuets and so far, I have seen A pro football player who allegedly purchased a home to have illegal dog fights at, and bet on them... So cruel if this is true... But by far not the worst...
Next I saw a mom and dad who starved their two children while they played video games, and they said they evently learned they could eat them selves... OM! So sad..
But then an insane woman who says she was taking her tiny baby to Satan? They found the baby in the middle of the road... What the heck...
And some wonder why so many people are depressed .... What the heck is wrong with people? A pro foot ball player with tons of money... Doing this? And then you know the other two I mentioned had these children... My heart goes out to those children...

I was arrested, convicted, & sentenced to 6 months house arrest & 2 yrs probation. I was a part of a BIG insurance scam in Brooklyn(made front page in the NY Daily News). Never even had a ticket in my life b4 this situation.I'm stuck with an E class felony for the rest of my life, owe the gov't$5,000 in restitution(not including the court fees which I've already paid off). I had been a law abiding citizen all my life and I never made any money or even stuck around to get a claim from the insurance co. and I only did it because I was homeless at the time and the person who let me stay with her said I had to do this if I wanted a place to stay.My racist JudgeJudy-like judge said she was making an example out of me-but then 1yr after my conviction, she let a White guy go with community svc for the EXACT same charge because he had a famous name(that made the Daily News, too). Based on these facts, you think I can get the gov't to overturn my felony & bring it down to a misdemeanor? Thanks!

My boyfriend and I found out last year that he has a child from 16 years ago. The mother never told him and in fact moved away after their "1 night stand". She was 18, he was 14. He did the DNA test & he is the Dad. Now Wisconsin is making him pay 16 years of arreages plus current weekly support. How can that be, when he never even knew he was a father until 8 months ago? And what about statuatory rape he was only 14. We now live in New Mexico so it is very hard to fight Wi from 1000 miles away. What should we do? Does anyone know of any legal (low cost or free) help we can use?

My bro left his wife for 2 days because she kept their children in the same dirty diapers all day and wouldn't clean house. She took their 2 yr. old downstairs to mom's and left the 1yr old in the playpen all day. He went back to clean because she didn't clean the house and change the kids again and mom's really upset. He decided to stay to make sure the kids are taken care of and to get her to leave the apartment because she neglects the children while he is at work or she leaves them downstairs at mom's all day. Now she wants him to stay gone so she is going to lie tomorrow at the court clerks office in order to get a restaining order so he is not allowed at his apartment or his mother's because he live's upstairs from her. What can he do to get her in trouble for filing under false pretenses?

I am having a few problems at work, I am a hgv driver and wish to work by the book, ie take my breaks as and when required...
the problem is I have a colleague who works bent, ie uses another tacho so he doesnt need a break...
Problem is the bosses love him, as he is quicker than me, and I feel the sack is near..
I am an experienced driver (15years) he has 12 months experience..
He has worked here 2 weeks more than myself, (4 months),
In the time of working the boss hasn't asked for a single tacho..

My question is, do I have any rights to appeal if the inevitable happens given the fact I have only worked 4 months with this company..

Thanks in advance

I see so many rude answers given to questions that
were from people who asked for all sorts of help, with
everything from dieting to depression or just needing
advice on what would be the right thing to do about
probelms in relationships.
So, if Yahoo! awards 10 points for the answer that's
voted the best, shouldn't the person who gives the
very worst answer get minus 10 points?
