Isn't this Episcopal minister and former U.S. Senator, who calls them "early stage stem cells" just another liar who won't face the facts about destroying human life at conception? The private lab that almost fully funded the push for an amendment to Missouri's Constitution for this purpose now realizes how many Missourians oppose taxation for this doubtful research on moral grounds and is going out of state for more money.

Two middle school boys ran down a hall in school swatting girls on their butts. Boys will boys! Both were arrested and given 5 days in jail.

Some claim it's horseplay. Is it still horseplay if I, an adult man, run down a sidewalk and swat ladies on their butts?

Today i went out to get my mail, and i live in an apartment complex. And i had a letter from the sheriff's department stating that there was a self offender living in complex. This man was convicted of RAPE!!I feel unsafe in this place, and if my boyfriend is away i shouldn't have to worry about my safety. My question is..does the apartment complex have to move this man in, and do i have a right to get out of my lease for feeling unsafe??Would i have a valid argument??

Is there a device, or any other means to detect a tapped phone line? Would asking the local phone co. do any good? Or for that matter, ask the local government if/why they're listening in?
I have a friend that I've been talking to often lately on the phone. Both of us using the good old fashioned "land-lines".
Yesterday, I was both surprised and dismayed when she told me that HER phone line is probably being monitered and to be careful what I talk about.
Since I'm not a criminal, I'm not worried if a lawman "listens in". So I'm asking this question in the name of civil rights and right to privacy.
My friend however, says she lives in an area where the lawmen ARE needed and hears her phone "click" a lot when she's using it. I have no reason to think she's a criminal. Her two sons (19 and 22) are no angels, but nothing even close to a felony or similar. Plus neither one even lives at home anymore, so they don't justify a phone being tapped.

I was recently given a conditional offer at uni which included passing police checks. At present my CRB has not even been sent off for. Prior to my app I made inquires as to how my 10 yr old record would effect me and was assured any decision would go b4 a panel of 3 people and they could not really see how it would effect me. I recently enquired as to how long it would be b4 I knew I was in or not. The course tutor asked me what I had been done for. He then rang me back 15mins later and said I he'd spoken to the ambulance service and they would not employ me after the course so he was withdrawing my application, he did so just like that off hes own back. I have worked a year and a half to get that place and I am devestated. I have a caution for shoplifting a conviction for criminal damage and shoplifting all committed when I was a teenager, none have which have prevented me from working with the civil service, youth service, st john or elderly residential homes. This seems so wrong

i could invent and patent a aerosol that contains tobbaco smoke so that if you are in a pub say that you could have a spray of this without going outside to have a ciggy . How do you think the law would see this as you would not be lighting up .

Federal Minimum wage is going up from $5.15/hour to $5.85/hour. Do you think that's too much? I do. I believe that if they keep raising the minimum wage, people will stop seeking higher education. In fact, minimum wage earners are the same people that can go to college for free. They shouldn't raise anything for them.

My wife is older than me. She has made a will, I haven't. Our total assets are about £250,000. If we both die together at the same time does our estate go to:
1. Those named in her will because she's made one & I haven't.
2. My next of kin because I'm younger
3. Neither of these, in which case please elaborate.
Thanks.

Hi, I was thinking about Quit Claiming the home I live in to a Trust as a way of preventing my home from being taken from me. I am TOTALLY 100.00% current with my mortgage on my own home. I am running the risk of being foreclosed on some investment properties. I don't want deficiency judgments from my impending foreclosures to lead me out of my home.

I know that usually with a deficiency judgment, all they'll do is attach my home property and I'll have to satisfy that upon the sale or refinance of the property. I don't want that to even happen at all. I want to protect the property I live in and that I am current on.

Also, I have 1 investment property that I'm totally current on, could I Quit Claim that to another Trust? Thanks.
