I think the govt should get out of the business of regulating personal conduct.

Way too many people are concerned about what others do, because those people don't want to look. That's not a valid reason for the govt to get involved, IMO.

If something is not causing direct harm to another unwilling person or to someone else's property, then it's none of the govts business. But then again, I'm not a conservative.

I have an idea, why don't we let the states decide?

If you want to live in a nudity-free zone, come live in a conservative state or pass conservative laws. If you want to live in a nudist colony, then go live in a liberal state or pass liberal laws. If none of those choices seem good to you, then sit down and enjoy the rainbow of humanity known as tolerance.

I personally don't want to see people nude or half-nude in public. Do you want to see ME half-naked?

I didn't think so. I'm not telling you to "just get over it" or "look away" or "mind your own business" because we live in a community and there are other people in it. Sometimes you have to respect community standards or get moving to a different community.

You folks out there on the pro-nudity side are forgetting that people might be old, hairy, fat, and completely unsanitary. Clothing is the miracle fabric that protects you from other people's nastiness. Maybe you think life will be the playboy mansion, but it won't. It will be more like an animal farm.

Think about it. Maybe you don't like me. Maybe you hate me for being so intolerant. Now picture me naked, and picture having to tolerate that every single day.

What is the operational definition of "ogling"? And please provide a reference for the ruling. Thanks for the additional info! An "operational definition" is different from a dictionary definition -- it means the methods or measures you use to define a behavior (how do you measure "love"?). Here, the newspaper apparently playfully used the word "ogle" instead of "surreptitiously videotape" or whatever the specific legal charge was. It seems that the legal definition of "private parts" coincides with what is legal for a person to display in public. Men can jiggle D-Cup breasts in public with no fear of arrest (the Fashion Police have yet to be sworn in). Thus, these untitillating... features... are fair game for photographers. I don't see much of a future for the "Plump Uncles Gone Wild!" video series, though. I guess it was a slow news day.

the problem is that America as a society has stigmatized public sexuality. everybody freaks out if someone flashes a titty. so men are overly zealous when they see a half nekkid woman in public and that could cause a stir. in other countries, public nudity is not such a shock, so you wouldn't have a case of some dude getting out of line. i dont see it being legalized because of the problems it would cause until people got used to it. but, don't get me wrong, i would love to see it legalized!!! free ball-ing and free bra-ing across America!!!!

Bare them? It occurs on So Cal beaches sometimes. Breasts are big business here.

Only if she is young with firm perky breasts. Of course, when some perv rapes her, he would have a fairly good excuse why.
