I was hired and terminated within three days. I have been in the industry for 15 plus years never been in this situation. I am wondering if they can deny me a claim for unemployment. When a company denies a claim don't they have to have prove (physical not just one word against another)

Also when they terminated me (I live in MA) there was no termination letter and all they said was I was not a good fit for the job. I never had a chance to work it took 2 days to get a desk. Does anyone have any information on this ??

A company has contacted me claiming I am violating their copyrights. ie. AirTV is their name, airtv.com is their website, my website is airtvsports.com. They made a modest cash offer but I think the domain is worth more. Any advise would be appreciated.

There was a recent news story about a dog that got into a lady's purse and ate $1,000US. My question is how much of a individual actual bill would you still have to have left, so that you can go back to the bank and have them replace it no questions asked. They said that after all was said and done. She was only able to retrieve $700 of the $1,000.
I guess it would be what is the least portion viable, so that it is still considered a legal currency.

I think a lot of people out there have wanted to kill another person, but haven't because of "morals" and the law. My question is: if there was no (man-made) law against murder, would you have killed somebody, or would you still do it? You're anonymous, so just be honest. I have no doubt some will respond with religious answers ("A person goes to Hell for that" or "God prohibits it"). I've always been interested in this.

We force them to play FOOTBALL with thugs and GUNMEN?
And when they shoot one to wound only we punish THEM for doing their job and staying alive?
WILL WE LET THEM DOWN?

Programs like Safe run by a non-profit agencies supposedly to provide supervised visits for Non-Custodial Parents. Most Judges have never ever visited yet this atrocity is assigned to people on a daily basis. Most of the time, this is ordered based on one parent's lies and deceit. If anyone had to deal with it, please contact me.

Tony Blair (the Blairina) is reported to have had a casual attiitude to cabinet meetings. He is very often seen on semi formal occiasions wearing a suit wilth no tie. I s this a sign of some irrresponsibly casual attitude to the affairs of state.?
Is Cameron unwise in follow that mode of dress, by beraying an attempt to imitate a previous unlamented Prime Minister.

My father has been separated from my mother for about 40 years. He lived with another woman for 10 years after the separation from my mother, and then left that one to live with another one with whom he has been for more than 10. He never legally divorced my mother. He is now retired, receiving SS benefits and a retirement plan from a company. He lives in California, and the second woman has become common law wife seemingly entitled to all benefits of a wife. My father does not want to make a will, and has only appointed beneficiary of his retirement benefits, from the company he worked for, to my mother. Will the common law wife be able to argue those retirement funds, and the social security benefits are hers because of her rights as the common law wife? Or, if my father creates a will designating my mother, his first wife, to be the sole beneficiary override the common law wife benefits? My mother did not work, and hence, all the SS benefits are exclusively through my father's work.

Because my band wanted to sell our CD and include our cover/version of a song from another band with full credit. We're sort of skeptical though because it might cause legal issues.

Is this illegal? Is this considered as theft of intellectual property?

For the President to argue that the US Government cannot bring legal actions against his office is tantamount to claiming absolute arbitrary authority. If the US Government lacks authority to bring charges against any of the citizens of the US, any one, then the US Government is incompetent to do the job for which Americans sacrifice their absolute liberty to conjoin in exercising.

If the government is incompetent to perform the duties for which the American people constituted it, then the American people themselve retain the authority which the President claims the government lacks.

There is no loophole, or legal technicality that dims our powers, nor blunts our sovereign authority. The President has no immunity to the will of the American people, whose authority he is to execute. If he has so executed our authority in a manner which is contrary to the laws the American people have established and ordained through the Congress, the President is damn well liable to even criminal

All aliens in the U.S. already are required to carry a passport and visa, or their permanent resident alien card with them at all times. Aliens in the U.S. already have their own "national ID card," but it seems like no one in law enforcement bothers to check them . In light of greencards, forcing United States citizens to have a new "citizen ID" does not seem necessary. Every state in the union already issues their own ID in the form of a driver's license. Until the INS/ ICE or some other law enforcement agency starts actually checking aliens for proper documents systematically, there is no need for even a discussion about another form of ID for U.S. citizens, right?
