then, why is it that when someone kills a pregnant women, it is possible to charge them with TWO counts of murder, one for the fetus that most laws don't recognize as a living person anyway?...is this just possible in states where abortion is illegal, or do laws and our judicial system only recognise an unborn baby as a living person when they want to put a criminal away for life for a heinous crime,...but not when the parents simply don't want the kid (which to me, is still a heinous crime)? what's your oppinions?

persons with knowledge of law and criminal law backgrounds, please expound on this question....

Well, just curious what the mass opinion of this subject it. They just brought up a curfew on the local mall, story - http://www.roanoke.com/news/roanoke/wb/122638, not really going to affect me. But it feels as if they are punishing the majority for an action by a few. Just figure I'll take my business elsewhere, shop somewhere else; where I'm welcome that is. So...what's your opinion on banning teens under 18 from the mall past 6 p.m. w/o a guardian/parent?

If a near term pregnant woman died, could the baby be removed for viewing at the request of the family?

The reason I am asking this is because of Jessi Davis, the woman from Ohio who was murdered. If I were her family, I think I would want to see the baby.

I'm sorry if I offend anyone, but I did warn you! I posted this in the News category and in this category earlier, and while I have found that most people agree with me in wanting to see the baby, I have not found the actual legal answer!! I have spent many hours searching myself..

So a few weeks ago I started a new job. I liked it, but the owner is the rudest person I've ever met. I was working yesterday and got called into her office. she told me that my look isn't what she likes and asked if it would kill me to dress more trendy. Then she said I look like crap and that a lot of her friends come in and she knows exactly what they would think of me.

I had been moving tables and setting up displays all day, then she mentioned that my pants were kind of wrinkled. Hello.... I was on the floor organizing stuff. It happens!

I go to work in slacks and nice shirts every day. That's what I was told to wear when I started. No, I'm not ultra trendy, but I'm not a drab either. I'm clean, my hair is done and I wear make-up!

I heard later that she has said the same thing to other employees.

What should I do? Is this harassment?

lets try again-->im 16 & i bought my own cell phone and plan because they wouldnt get me one.
i have a job & buy alot of my own things including hair & food supplies & my own clothes.
my parents havent taken away the phone because they dont know i have it yet. i was just asking to see if it would ok to start using it around them without the risk of it being taken away.
i bought a prepaid phone so there isnt really a contract. i just have to pay my monthly plan charge to get my minutes by "topping up" {as they call it}
they didnt want me to hav ea cell phone because they thought i would lose it. i had i for about 1 year now & havent lost it.
im not spoiled {if i was i wouldnt have to worry about getting a phone taken away} & if i get it taken away im not going to waste money on a lawyer to get it back. thats gay.

...if so, what would it's guidelines be,if you were the one drawing up the bill? Age restrictions? Medical use only?.

I'd say "age restricted" -using the Age of ENLISTMENTas the gvmt decides to see fit (-God 18yo is SO YOUNG to be going to War), same as it should be for being allowed to purchase alcohol,or to get into an R rated movie.

also...
Anti's... I would Love to see a "Bad List" . Can you think of any GoodSide to the Legalization Idea?

Pros.. Give me a "Good List". .. and C'mon you Know there are always downsides to everything .. be honest and state one of them for me, too.

I'll go first.

i think one DownSide is the Lung Cancer issue,

I think one UpSide would be that , Legalized ,they could openly go about figuring out a way of ingesting it ,so that was a lot more health conscience, without being wasteful.
