A person was just arrested on there first offense of forging a perscription for narcotics. What will this person be sentenced to?

my mistake, I should of remembered but I didn't. Incase anyone does not know, MA is Massachuestts. I'm not trying to offend anyone at all in anyway. It's only because there was 4 or 5 times before that there was people that did not know that.

first off I am gunna say I know this is suppose to be for me to add other details about my question but its not so get over it. only 1 person answered since sunday when i posted, so please would others that can give an answer please do so, even if jus very lil info is helpful thank u

If it is a true first offense, the person could get probation and be ordered to rehab (either outpatient or inpatient) and community service hours. Just because of the offense, it doesn't always mean jail time. Good Luck!

...On Massachusetts, it's a Felony... that means the Judge can sentence you to State Prison for over 5 years. If you have no criminal record "they" will be more lenient and most likely "fine" you and place you on supervised probation (which is a pain in the butt because there are fees that go along with that as well)... Get a Lawyer and have your Doctor write the "scripts"....

No less than 366 days in Prison. That is a felony. They'll probably get 5-10 years.

Normally forgery is a charge on its own. But what is going to determine your sentence Is what the presc. was for. You may receive a felony for the type of chemical it is. Normally small doses of presc or non-habit forming types of drugs carry a misde. charge.
