This might sound like a stupid question but I've always been curious about this. When I say "tax lawyer", I am referring to a lawyer that is also a CPA. It seems like you could really make big bucks being a lawyer and a CPA and I have heard that the hours are not that bad.

I left my car to be worked on at the dealership overnight. I dropped it off before closing and the service manager had my car key. I have a Jeep Wrangler with a soft top. Well, the rear passenger side window was unzipped and someone took out my aftermarket radio, Ipod adapter, subs, and amp. The service manager says they are not responsible for my loss and I have to claim it on my insurance. Is this correct? It sure doesn't seem like it should be, there was well over $1000 stolen from me. Shouldn't the dealership take responsibility for this since I left my car in their care?

I recently moved into an apartment and I saw a couple of roaches before I even had food in there. It has been vacant since February. I moved in July 9. Since I found the first 2, I bought bait traps and borax, laid them out and I have only found 1 dead roach after that. This was 5 days ago and no more sightings (even at 2am searching cabinets etc).

Thing is I had never seen a roach and under further investigation, I pulled up some shelf lining I covered the shelves with the day I moved in. Stuck to the bottom of one (that I just laid down bc it was too high for me to see) was not only roach droppings, but also the sheddings. By our sink cabinet, I found an old dead one. This to me indicates a prior infestation (I mean we are talking a LOT of droppings) The apartment said nothing about this, but I can't live here comfortably.

I start dental school next week and I fear I won't be able to concentrate... my full effort for the past week has gone towards preventing them.

My son ex is going to file child support papers on him. The baby is now 2 months old. Our son doesn't think the baby is his cause his ex cheated on him from day one and through out their relationship. They haven't been together for several months now. She's had the baby and now she wants child support.
I heard that if he is proven to be the dad of this baby he will have to pay for the past 2 months. It seems like you should start paying as soon as you find out the baby is yours. It's not like he is a dead beat dad. Sometimes I think our system is screwed up.

What are your feelings on this?

Under the separation of powers, the president is supposed to work with the legislative branch, not stonewall it.

This president and vice-president have instead acted like monarchs; they started domestic NSA spying without getting a warrant from a judge; Bush has altered legislation through signing statements without consulting with the legislative branch; he has allowed prisoners to stay indefinitely at Guantanamo Bay without any chance of being charged with a crime or going to court, he has made Cheney the acting foreign policy president, and I could go on and on.

There is supposed to be a series of checks and balances between the executive branch and the legislative branch. Bush and Cheney claim their positions of power are above the law; they treat Congress as irrelevant.

If Congress does not hold these two to account, it will perpetuate this misuse of the presidency into the future.

We cannot just sit this presidency out; we risk permanent damage to the Constitution!

murder is against the law because it is considered immoral by most people. however, i'm sure there are some people who would not have any problem with making murder legal (i mean, just because something is legal, doesn't mean everyone is gonna go around doing it), but just because it's not a problem with those people doesn't mean the law is gonna change.

so, why is abortion not illegal? a lot of people consider it is just as immoral, if not more-so, as murder.

what do you think about this?

if you think that morals aren't the only reason for murder being illegal, then just point out what is and i'll take that into consideration.

I am insured and visited the ER to get a wound stitched. I didn't have my insurance card with me, but I told them as much information as I knew. A couple weeks later a bill to my father's name was sent to my parents house. He was listed as my emergency contact, but they knew I was an adult and I see no reason why the bill shouldn't have been sent to me. (I am 22 and live in a separate residence). Is there anything illegal about this?

Do you think it needs replacement?

Do you care about it?

Thanks. This is for a statistics experiment and your simple cooperation will be greatly appreciated.
