That is a fine line to walk because who determines the level of abuse and to what degree that is punished. The problem lies in the society that creates these "types" of parents. "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" makes more sense now than ever. We as "good" parents must start with educating our own before they become these "types" of parents.

Sound good to me, but I have also support mandatory sterilization of parents that have been on welfare for three continuous years, sexual offenders, addicts, and alcoholics, and gang members. Sounds good, but will never happen, we are told we must be more tolerate of these people, it is not their fault, it would be in humane, and etc.

How about for the ones that leave their babies in dumpsters? That just is the most disgusting thing that someone could do to a baby. All they have to do is take it to a hospital, or firestation and tell them that they can't care for them.
