She needs to find the real father, and not just go after the only guy who's name she remembers. With all her drunken on night stands, there could be thousands of possible fathers. Your son defiantly should have a DNA test before giving her anything.

A baby starts costing money from the first pre-natal doctor visit. Why should you son not have to pay until a DNA test comes through. The mother has had costs at least since she entered the hospital in labor.
Whether the mom may or may not be a tramp is besides the point. Daddy to be chose to stay with her and have sex with her. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time....or pay the child support.

The baby began eating and crapping the day it was born. If he is the father, who should pay for the food and diapers from that day until he is proven liable? Instead of supporting your son in an effort to deny a child his support, perhaps you should encourage your son to support an innocent victim of his and the mother's immorality. Whether it's his child or not, that baby needs to eat. A real man who sleeps with a woman out of wedlock (or any real man) would want to ensure that an innocent child is taken care of. As a mother, you should tell him that it is his child until proven otherrwise. If he spends money on a child that isn't his, he will gain favor in Heaven. Otherwise, he can sue for that money back, and reap an Earthly reward. Personally, I'd rather take the high ground.
Teach your son what is morally right, not what is legally right.

Well, if he is the father of the child, he should have been paying child support 2 months ago-because it is the right thing to do....
You shouldn't need to have a judge order you to do what is the right thing.
When his ex files, have your son go to court and say the child is not his. The court will order a DNA test......case will be closed, one way or another.
And, tell Mr. Hotpants that the next time he wants to jump on some cheap piece of goods, he needs to use a condom.

He will have to pay back support to the day the child was born if it is his child.
If he feels like the child may not be his he will need to have a DNA test... and that he also will have to pay for provided that he is indeed the father.
And yes the system is way screwed up.... it has it's perks but you could drive a truck thru the holes in the system!!!

He needs to hire an attorney and request a DNA test. If the test proves he is that daddy, he owes the back child support because he was still the daddy 2 months ago. Just because he doubted it until getting the results doesn't relieve him of his responsibility. Sorry, you don't like the system because you are too close to the situation and want to side with your son. If he helped create that life, he is responsible from day one for caring for the child.

No, if DNA tests prove he is the father then yes he should pay from the time she was born. Now, you want to talk about a screwed up system? When my brother was 14 he had sex with a woman who was 21. She got pregnant with his child and was put in jail for statutory rape. My brother is now 19....his daughter is 5 years old and the woman is just now suing him for child support and there is not one lawyer who will take his case. That's screwed up.

Of course, he won’t have to pay until he’s determined to be the father (he needs to request a paternity test!). Since this child is only a few months old, they are most likely going to order him to pay from the time of birth (and yes, they I think they should). Now if the child were ten years old before she filed for child support, it would be a different situation.

I feel like he needs a DNA test and if he's Dad he needs to step up and be grateful he's only 2 months behind and not 2 years, and he should never deal in cash. He needs a paper trail on anything he gives or spends for the child whether he does it on his own or through the court. He needs proof of what he pays to the court or to the mother so that if he needs to verify that his payments are properly credited he has records to compare. Be diligent in keeping records it's his word against theirs!

well, only time will tell.
1) he will pay IF he is determined to be the father
2) payments may be required to be retro, depending upon the state.
every state is slightly different about these matters, so look up your state. do i think a parent should pay since the birth? yes i do, for the childs needs didnt start only when DNA results came in... and someones been footing that bill.
