Two middle school boys ran down a hall in school swatting girls on their butts. Boys will boys! Both were arrested and given 5 days in jail.

Some claim it's horseplay. Is it still horseplay if I, an adult man, run down a sidewalk and swat ladies on their butts?

What's wrong are you offended because no little boys are slapping you on the butt? Children are just that, children. They're adults in training. They haven't learned everything they need to know yet. I assume by your question that you support the current government trend to put children in jail. You make me sad.

I think the difference would be, you are an adult and they are not. They are still boys and are still learning the difference between right and wrong.

Granted, I think they should be punished, definitely, but jail is extreme, especially 5 days.

It's assault (actually battery, but....)

Their intent was to cause harmful or offensive contact. They did.
