Then you say you will let the people decide democratically. It's nothing short of theft and tyranny. A point in question is Gibralter among others. Here's how it works:
1. Steal the land.
2. Fill it with your own nationality.
3. Have a vote on who owns the territory.
4. You win.
5. Bob's your uncle.

It has certainly worked in Kosovo hasn't it? Kosovo has been a part of Serbia for centuries and the centre of their culture. In walked the ethnic Albanians over a period of about 80 years and now even the UN says Serbia must cede Kosovo! And they wonder why there are wars!

What a big fat distorter of the truth you are. Gibraltar was ceded by Spain to Britain in perpetuity in 1713 under the Treaty of Utrecht. Perpetuity means forever. Gibraltar is as British as the Isle of Wight and Spain has no claim whatsoever over it.

The population are not mainly ethnic Britons but a mixture of Catalans, Genoese, Minorcans, Portuguese and Maltese. With smaller Moroccan and Indian minorities. The people of Gibraltar have consistently and overwhelmingly voted for self determination and to remain part of Britain. Gibraltarians even vote in EU elections as part of the South West England Euro-constituency.

The Spanish claim for sovereignty is deeply hypocritical since Spain refuses to return sovereignty to Morocco of IT's enclaves in North Africa, Ceuta, Melilla and Perejil.
