Yahoo answers has about 600 to 700 "questions" posted by the "whispering campaign" mentioned by Fiona Phillips in the Daily Mail.(see the reference below) Many are libellous, many are simply cruel, others are euphemistically phrased to avoid weak censorship .Many are accompanied by laughter and the fact that the McCanns are successful doctors is mentioned often. I think the government should ban the internet being used for hate campaigns, this is not "free speech" because many of the questions and comments are well within the scope of our British laws of liable if said in public.

Has anyone had this experience? Please tell me about it. I work at a local hospital, in Environmental Services. Lots of the employees Human Resources has hired are below any hospital standard. I have performed with the intention of moving on to other hospitals should i choose. The last 6 months our supervisors and director tell us the contractors are there to help us out. I have only been there 5 years-there is a RUMOR going around that these contractors may replace us. Don't know who started it or how long they have been there. IT IS NOT UNCOMMON FOR HOSPITALS, or businesses, TO UTILISE CONTRACTORS. Our management has assured us it is just a rumor. The rumor persists and the contractors are there everyday. However, i do not see anyone BOLTING to find another job. I say they perform below standard because the EXCELLENT employees, throught the hospital, have DISAPPEARED-don't know if they left on their own or what. Many good emploeeys have DISAPPEARED and management KEEPS the bad ones.

as well as all the criminals and adult gang members? Do they really believe that these low-lifes are going to turn their guns in. Do they really think they cannot get guns from those who actually possess them legally?

I'm so tired of passing laws with no real plan to enforce them.

All they do is fight, bicker, collect their salary, travel at our expense, and sneak in billions for their own pork barrel spending.

I bid on something of substantial value from eBay, and when I was dealing with the seller after the auction ended he was really shady and pushy, and I became really uncomfortable sending him a money order for that amount of money because he was showing warning signs I've been told can lead to fraud. It's been like 6 days and now he is threatening to "call his lawyers" about it... is there actually anything he can do, or is he just being a jerk some more?

I decided to buy a bedroom set 3 weeks ago from a woman who was selling it on craigslist.org. The asking price was $750. My boyfriend and I rented a truck and showed up there to pick up the furniture...it didn't look anything like the pictures, it had paint, nicks, scratches....so I told the woman I would give her $500 cash and she agreed. About a week later I realized that I gave her $500 in an envelope and a CHECK for $250. ( I forgot to take out the check!)

Now she is emailing me saying she deposited the check and it was stopped, now her account is overdrawn and she is calling the police. My question is, can I get in trouble for this misunderstanding??

Given that it has been well documented now by the likes of 'Freedom to facism' and 'money matters', why is the media keeping people in the dark about the privately owned Federal reserve and its illegal income tax. And yes, it is illegal, 100 percent.

I was kept away from my dying Grandmother by being told she went home when she actually was still in the hospital. She did die and I was told the wrong time for the funeral which I missed due to being lied to. When I got home I was depressed and could not sleep or eat. I do have statements from my doctor.

My friend took terms and condition from another well known commercial website and used it at his own webpage with extremely minimal changes ( mostly in name etc. )
1) Can he be sued for that?
2) If the company that he copied from is in US, and he is based
in Asia, can the original company sue the local company ?
3) What if both companies are in the same country, any problems if minimal changes are applied to the T&C ?
3) What else should i know, where can I find more info ?
Tks...need help.

My boyfriend works these hours, breaks are fair. He is a parts person at a honda place and inputs orders into the computer and answers the phone, office type work. He was given a stool to sit on in front of his computer. His co worker had the same thing. His boss took his away and said he was tired of looking at it and does not want him sitting at all, but his co worker can. All men are white so I don't think its a race issue, Are there in laws in Arizona or over all against this treatment?

Is it legal to put ipod format videos on my website for download?
Not the ones that you can buy on iTunes but for example performances of famous musicians that aired on TV. E.g. Mariah Carey’s 2006 Grammy performance.

I live in Kentucky and my boyfriend works as a grounds keeper for an apartment complex. He worked there for about a year and was offered an apartment for free, $525 is want they rent for. Later he was told by his boss that the owners do not give raises and sometimes she "mentions" how lucky he is that he gets that apartment for free. He makes $10 an hour and is required to clean up trash on the weekends, water any plants that may be new, and correct anything someone moving out may have done to the property or dumpsters as well. He is not allowed to clock in for this time, again b/c of the apartment. Is it just me or is he underpaid? He's been there for 3 years and hasn't gotten a raise. I understand the apartment is a big thing and something to be grateful for, but I make just under that and I sit at a desk and work for a general contractor. How do I find out if he has any official "rights" to get a raise? Isn't there a standard of living increase or something?

I think we can all agree, at a bare minimum, that discrimination in the workplace on the basis of gender is wrong. (If you don't, please skip this question!)

My understanding of the issue, though, is that the case was brought after the statute of limitations (as commonly interpreted) expired, and that the majority said Congress could change the law and correct any perceived error. They didn't rule against the concept of "equal pay," just on the statute as written by Congress.

Were they right to decide as they did? Why or why not?

Would you have done the same? Why or why not?

Is my characterization accurate, and complete?

Has any move been made in Congress yet to address this?

Thanks!

My grandfather committed a minor sex offense when he was 23 years old.
He took a leak in public and was seen by an 11 year old girl.
He was convicted of indecent exposure to a minor.
He is now 82 years old.
Because of the media frenzy on sex offenders and the fact he is a registered sex offender – the Old Folks Home kicked him out.
I don’t have the resources to take care of him and now he has NOWHERE TO GO.
NO other old folks home will take him because of his sex offense status.
Because the old folks home is private they have the right to deny.
Any government assisted old folks home won’t take him either – they have a right because of government bureaucracy.
It happened almost 60 years ago.
Three lawyers I have spoken to said there is nothing that can be done.
Does anybody know what can be done?

A women here in Houston tx was charged with Capital Murder yesterday for beating her 2 month old baby boy to death. Police went to her apartment and found his decomposing body in the closet. She told poilce she was mad at the childs father so thats why she beat the child. She was of low income. Anyhow so she is being charged like she should......
BUT.......
I heard today that there is a case in Colorado of an extreamly weathy family that is just now being charged with "Child Abuse Resulting in Death". In this case the parents took their child to the emergency room where doctors descovered the child had over 48 broken bones and a masive skull fracture that resulted in death. Now 15 months later the parents are just now being charged. Not with Capital Murder (like it should be) but only with Child Abuse resulting in Death. What kinda crap is that? What is wrong with our system these days? If your rich you dont have to get the right punishment and if your poor you do. BULL SH**

Why is it ok for a man accused of raping a woman, allowed to be named in the media and not the woman accusing him? i understand that she has a right to annonymity but what if she lied? There has been so many cases over theyrs where a woman lied and ruined the life of the guy, yet even sfter the event she has a right not to be named. Surely there should be a law ensuring both parties not be named until after the verdict.

I was reading the Toronto Star (Canadian Paper) and it had an article about some famous teacher charged with having sex with a 14 yr old student.

But then it said that sex between an adult and a child 14 yrs old and over is LEGAL as long as the adult is not in a position of authority over her.

Do you think its a misprint on the papers part cause I dont think its legal. Does anyone know or is this craziness true?
