My friend took terms and condition from another well known commercial website and used it at his own webpage with extremely minimal changes ( mostly in name etc. )
1) Can he be sued for that?
2) If the company that he copied from is in US, and he is based
in Asia, can the original company sue the local company ?
3) What if both companies are in the same country, any problems if minimal changes are applied to the T&C ?
3) What else should i know, where can I find more info ?
Tks...need help.

Actually those terms and conditions have to be registered with the Federal Trade Commission to have any meaning. I could cut and paste them til the cows come home, but if I have not properly registered them, they are non-binding and will lead to serious legal issues if they ever have to be exercised. Tell your friend that doing b usiness in the lazy fashion is a formula for disaster.

What a cache-22 situation! 'Terms and Conditions' being a legal document has universal applicability and as such your friend is apparently out of hook as far as this instance of copying is concerned. That's this answerer's fair assessment of the situation!
