plus they posted a sign on the wall in 3 different languages that noisy children should be taken out of the restaurant in order to not disturb the others, I understand the owners may not like children, but no high chairs & booster chairs? obviously we couldn't stay unless we have our 18 months old sit on our lap the entire time.can I file a complaint? if so, where?

I think a high chair is better, booster seats are usually for older children and so it is easier for a smaller child to slip out. We had a high chair that we paid $120 USD for my son and then when my daughter was born she was able to use it too, so if you plan on having more children keep in mind that it will get even more use! We have the preggo high chair. As for car seat, we have the Britax boulevard.. It is good from birth until 80lbs, it is more expensive then some of the other seats on the market but it is because they can move from it to a booster so you will only need to buy the one car seat and then a booster later on (at like 5), has the highest safety rating, very easy to install and use... I love it!

How about you just start going to one of the BILLIONS of restaurants that cater to children instead?

File a complaint...Who do you think you are? Some of us rather not be around noisy, ill-behaved children when we go out for a nice dinner. Children young enough to require a high-chair are often impossible to control, so it makes sense for the business owner to fail to provide those things.

No, tell me the name of the restaurant so I can go there. Parents seem to have no sense or respect for others these days. If I misbehaved in a restaurant as a child, my father would have spanked me and dragged me out of the restaurant. I had to sit quietly at the table, not run around screaming, hang over the dividers staring at other patrons and eat, not play with my food.

I wish parents would start parenting again instead of expecting everyone else to do their job - you had the kids, you look after them.

What a fabulous restaurant. I wish more were like them. We need to add signs that say noisy parents screaming at their noisy children must be removed as well. Go ahead and file a complaint. The world does not have to revolve around you and your children. They are yours. Go to Chucky Cheese.

PS - How many languages do you speak? I am impressed!

I applaud the restaurant for their ideals.
If they do not want to deal with children, and they stick to their guns, more power to them.
You can complain to the "BBB" but that is about all. It is a private business (unless a franchise - them complain to the parent named company)

On a personal note, there have been times when I have gone into restaurants and children would be running freely or screaming or having other such antics, I have just left.
It is not a relaxing or inviting atmosphere if that is happening.

I would not file a complaint; a restaurant is under no obligation to provide high chairs or booster seats to their customers.

You can only complain to the restaurant management. The restaurant is under NO obligation to provide child seating if it chooses otherwise.

Do you think they were trying to tell you something by not having such equipment available ?

complain to the round file
some people don't want kids annoying them in public places
go to chuck e. cheeses with your rug-rats and leave them with a sitter if you want to enjoy a real restaurant
