I know they can't get a hunting license (due to not being able to be around weapons) and they can't vote...I am assuming they can't get a fishing license as well, but trying to find out for sure. I want to go fishing with my brother just like in the good ol' days before he made his mistakes, but I don't want him to just sit in my boat and watch me to do it and he can't...

In trying to deal with very rude people in a local magistrate office, I became very frustrated, sighed and cursed softly under my breath. This wasn't directed toward a person, but just a manifestation of frustration that wasn't meant for others' ears. Unfortunately someone heard and I was threatened and told I couldn't use that language because it was a "courtroom." Is that just a rule of curteousy, or is it a punishable crime. Either way, particularly since it wasn't directed at the magistrate or his rude employees, I can't see how it was a breech of any rule or law. I have a real problem with the loss of first amendment rights over a minor speeding ticket (which by the way I don't believe is warranted, but don't see a point in contesting, since I'm moving and won't be able to come back for a court date without much expense on my own part. I've never had a speeding ticket before so this was all new to me).

my friend used to be in a band, and during that time took lots of photos of the band members and played about with them on her computer to make them look professional/funky.

she emailed/printed a few of the photos to the singer of the band to show her what she had done.

the band split up, not on the best terms. now the singer has these photos on her myspace site, where she is advertising herself for work.

my friend wants to know whether she has any right to demand that the photos are not used because they are her work, and the singer is using them for business purposes without getting her permission?

she has the originals on her computer so can prove that she created them.

thanks

I live in CT and want to move to New Jersey in two months. Am I correct in saying that I can go if and until a court has said otherwise. My child's father says he'll take me to court, which is fine, but can I leave in the meantime.

It seems that every day now we hear news of some kind of shooting incident - people are seemingly undeterred about the CCTV cameras everywhere :) and it seems that we'll soon go the way of America, where the problem is, quite simply, endemic. What needs to be done about it?

I took my car to a mechanic last week on friday to get the AC and the overheating issue fixed. My car would overheat if stuck on traffic but as soon as I get moving it'll cool down. My cooling fan wasn't spinning so I just want them to figure out why it's not spinning. The next couple of days I've been calling and calling but either "the mechanic's too busy" or "the mechanic's not here yet". They always say they'll call back but they never do. The time that I did get to talk to a mechanic he pretty much haven't looked at it yet because he's too busy. A week later on Thursday which is yesterday I see my own freaking car driving around my own neighborhood that is 20 minutes away from the shop!!!! Dude even looked like he was texting on his phone while driving. Now I'm going to go over there after work and get my car back. I just want to know if there are any legal actions I could take.
