I took my car to a mechanic last week on friday to get the AC and the overheating issue fixed. My car would overheat if stuck on traffic but as soon as I get moving it'll cool down. My cooling fan wasn't spinning so I just want them to figure out why it's not spinning. The next couple of days I've been calling and calling but either "the mechanic's too busy" or "the mechanic's not here yet". They always say they'll call back but they never do. The time that I did get to talk to a mechanic he pretty much haven't looked at it yet because he's too busy. A week later on Thursday which is yesterday I see my own freaking car driving around my own neighborhood that is 20 minutes away from the shop!!!! Dude even looked like he was texting on his phone while driving. Now I'm going to go over there after work and get my car back. I just want to know if there are any legal actions I could take.

Well yes, AFTER you get the car back, you can sue them in small claims court for the "loss of use" during the week they had it -- essentially the cost of other transportation or the value of renting a similar car for the week.

Yes! I would contact your state's Attorney General's office and lodge a formal complaint against them, AND file a negative report with the Better Business Bureau.
