My husband had a truck in 2002 that was stolen we owed money but only like 1 payment behind when it was stolen. When the police found the truck, we told the truck place to tell us if it was driveable (it was in another city) . and they said they couldn't do that so we told them to take it back they did and then they wanted to come after us for the remainder of the money after they sold it ... Now after hard times they have handed us paper work to take us to court. My husband is the only one who works and we have 5 kids and are on goverment assistance ...Please tell me what they can take from us or what we can do I dont know where to go from here.. Please no smart A-s-s-es Thanks

My husband paid a family law attorney a $2500 retainer. We received our first statement in the mail and they deducted about $300 in legitimate miscellaneous fees. Leaving us with a balance of $2200. No problem there. So next we get a statement saying we owe $500 (fees also legit) and if we don't pay in the 5 days, they will no longer represent us. Why didn't they just deduct the $500 out of the retainer like they did before? And why did they have to "threaten" us like that? We are in the middle of a custody situation and felt like we were bullied into paying the extra money because we can't lose our legal representation this far into things. Please tell me this is normal and we are not getting ripped off.

I mean it's physically impossable to impose restrictions on non physical entities, is it not? I'm NO computer wiz here but what is one gonna due to regulate what comes over the net, put sensoring devices in our satellites or tell servers what they can allow to go on the net? I mean the severs might not even be USA based, not under McCain law/jurisdiction, am I right on this? Is there even any truth to this McCain/regulation story, anybody else ever even hear of it? I could see a tax being imposed as the politicians(magicians!) of the demo/repubie party are always looking for another excuse to get into our wallets. International(UN) regulation, US of A regulation??? Frankly, I would think regulation of a world wide net an impossable feat, but again, I'm no computer wiz! Anybody with the straight dope on this rumor, story, fact or what ever it is?

I have Crohn's disease and was told by my specialist to avoid anti-inflamitories. My former doctor wanted to keep me on them for my knee pain. She also refused to give me anything for pain other than the anti-inflamitories and also wanted to stop me cold turkey off my anti anxiety medication which I have been taking for 8 years without an increase. I found another doctor that gave me my medications without complaint and also agreed the anti-inflamitories would be counter productive to my Crohn's treatments. My new doc is an Internest. Do I have a suit worth suing for? Can I sue my former doctor for putting more of my health at risk?

Two family members came into my house and played a recording of another family member that appeared to be upset. After 45 minutes of talking to me, one of the persons, said " Shoot the recorder". I asked them how can they come into my home and record me without my conscent?. I was so upset that they can do this to someone, especially your Aunt!
They won't give the tape back either.

What do you think? Who is responsible for maintaining justice in American society, taking into consideration common good, Bill of Rights, and the roles of the citizens and government.

I was thinking that it's BOTH citizens and government's responsibility....

i have been paying an association fee for the condo i own that is suppose to include air conditioning, but since march, there has been no heat or air conditioning. the association required us to pay to get these new units they want to put in so it had to be shut off. some of the floors are rented out and some are owned. the renters were given free window air units and the owners were told we had to pay $130 to get the unit and to have it installed. is this right? not only am i still paying the full utilities, but they raised the fee $10. i don't think we should have to pay. the weather can get in the hundreds and they say we won't have anything until early september. can they do this?

I had an accident last December. The other car hit me in the back of driver side. I swear to God that he ran the red light and hit me. It was my first accident so I had no idea what to do. Somehow he got a witness to give the cops statement saying that she saw me ran the red light and cause the other guys to hit me. I didn't get to find any witnesses for me because I knew that I wasn't at fault but I was wrong. The cop believed her lie and gave me citation for ran the red light. I went to the court and was so surprise to see the witness there. I swear I never saw her at the accident scene. I couldn't believe my ears when I heard what she told the judge. Thanks God, the judge didn't believe her BS and found me not guilty for my citation. However, my insurance company had put the liability on me because of the police report and the statement from the witness. Now I'm stuck with rate increasing and at fault accident on my driving record. Can I do anything about it?

Hi. I am a madman with serious revenge issues. Recently I was taking my dog for a walk and the lead got caught up on a fish and chip shop sign. I dragged the lead because I was pissed off that the sign was in the middle of the pavement. Nocked down their sign. Then was tackled to the ground and beaten up.

Anyway, the next night I broke their window with an axe, but did not harm any of the aholes. So, I need an RPG to launch at the fish and chip shop for attacking me, to end their miserable lives. I thought of sniping them, but then I would get caught by police,
