Is it right for Indian Airlines staff to go for sudden strike inconveniencing the innocent customers/clients?

For no fault of the customers/clients the Indian airlines/Air India staff inconvenienced the customers/clients. Is it right???????????
12,00,00,000 people are willing to take up the job in Indian Airlines/Air-lndia for any salary as prescribed by Government of India!

Right or wrong - Everyone knows it is wrong. But in economical terms, a blow to Indian growth. High time, Indian and the ground operations are privatised and allowed to be handled by big names like SATS etc.

The same thing could be said when the air traffic controllers went on strike in the 80's. You have to realize that some people feel they should be paid a fair wage compared by standard of living in their country. A lot of the jobs can be dangerous. Hijackings are a real threat to the crew of an airliner. The fueling crew has to work in all kinds of weather; one spark or static electrical build up can be fatal.

The question is do the employees deserve better than what they are getting? If yes, they have every right to negotiate to get a fair wage. Sometimes, the management refuse to be reasonable and the employees are left little choice.

The real problem is that the airlines are not addressing the needs of the passenger/customer. I think they deserve a lot of the blame in this for not resolving the problems quickly.

Friends its my personnel experience and views that I would like to let you all know.
Its the Political class of this country who have taken this great nation for ride.
1. Can you remember with in last 10 yrs how many times the pay and allowances of MP's and MLA's have been hiked?
2. For your kind knowledge, the job done by airline staff is not 1/4 of what our Indian Air force staff does still they are working at 1/4 of the salary of Indian Airlines Staff.
3. Now , pl decide who should be given the pay hike? Is the Indian govt live to hear all this thing?

Both the departments are under the central govt, yet the discrimination in Pay only because Indian Airline is catering to Public directly. Today you are effected that's why you weep, why you all are not worried about their counterparts, because they are bonded by rules and regulations.
You are totally wrong at the figures given of waiting list of personnel ready to take up job. Who will train them? Whats they guarantee 2 marrow they would not strike?
The discrepancies in the system has to be removed before you comment or ask for some thing better and that you can only do by voting the right person once in a five year.

TAke for any strike,to demorilise the economy only the protest is being done ,the Govt. so far never come up with any voluntary pay hike or something in connection with financial matters,to any industry,let it b commercial ,banking,insurance or even the State Govt.employees.It is only through Unions /associations anything is conveyed to the Management, and the decision is being takenup.If there is war,even if India won against Pakistan in the recent war at Kargil,our soldiers are also died.Like that if any strike is there ,some sufferings will be there.Today you,tomorrow,I may.It is the employees right against the MAnagement,that is why we are celebrating May Day.
India is a country with heavy population,12 crs will be less, even more will be there ,but don't ask them to step into the shoes of others.Let the Govt.give a job to all those unemployed educated youth.It is Govt.as like in the ancient regime the Raja,has to take care of the people,right from his health to wealth,that is why all wars were took place.if this Raja,don't have food for his people,he took a war with the neighbor,what for ,only to get his life to pull.The same old theory is applicable to the present or any Govt.They have to give a minimum of shelter ,food and cloths>we have so many brain in the Govt.why they fail in giving any employment to any people.Like this only, some people came in 2003,when TAmilnadu Govt staffs went on strike,for the past 4yrs they are drawing only Rs.4000/ as salary.First of don't encourage the practise of stepping into the shoes of others .It is equivalent to taking other persons wife,sister something an henious crime,even one can kill a person boldly,for any mistake ,but not take over a job,even he his protesting aginst his own management, if you don't allow them to do like that why you have in your Constitution,liberty to speek,write and what not, then don't have democracy,bring some Hitler and run the Govt.
Yes.You are not paying anything to any people freely,People are doing service for which they are paid.They deserves everything the best in life.We Indians born to work hard,our Govt.is not fetching any job,to the educated community.What China is doing, the Top level people ,finding the market in India, the public doing the production,we are buying it.Like that why no Minister has got order for our Cars.We had,Maruthi,why don't you find the market in other country,you have voluntarily brought the other people IN to kill the Maruthi,having done all those masacres ,you igniting our own brethrens against themselves.It is nothing but,throwing stones against the glass planes when you are in.

Every inconvenienced passenger must file a complaint u/Consumer Protection Act at their own District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, naming Indian Airlines and their employees union as respondents. The Supreme Court has held that employees have no statutory right to go on strike, in TP Rangarajan vs St of Tamil Nadu, so on this basis, the passenger can claim compensation for the losses and other harassment he suffered on account of this strike. This will teach these stiking employees a lesson where it hurts the most - in their pockets !

It's not an issue of RIGHT or WRONG.All government employees in INDIA think that by working in the Govt.,they are doing a big favor to the nation and the countrymen.More over,once in a while they need to exercise their muscles by breaking things,beating their bosses and screwing public, lest people forget their national importance.But we should not loose heart.Privatization shall set them right but shall take some time.Hail India,Cheers to Indians.
