Me & my girlfriend had just seen a movie and we went back to her apartment for me to drop her off. I went home and about 2 hours ago I get a call that someone broke into her complex and then quickly ran out when he heard her. She was not screaming but was on the telephone in her bedroom and I suppose she didnt hear the person.. I went over there to find the door handle smashed and the deadbolt hammered in. Nothing was stolen but I was wondering what should be done if anything, because this is odd for it to happen in an apartment. I live in Memphis & she lives in Cordova which is about a 15 minute drive from here.

we voted a union in due to some very bad policies and the fact they are self insured and are not paying any of the medical bills they are supposed ot pay. so far has been a failure as they will not negociate with us in good faith. now the union is saying strike and i do not wish to lose my job( even though it might be a good thing, just hate to see them get away with all the money the employee's paid in), i have always been under the impression that without a signed contract it is a wildcat and we can be terminated, is this true??

Today at work a coworker approached me and spoke in another language which I am also familiar with since I am biligual. I answered him in that language and started talking about work in that language. Another cowoker walked by and noticed our conversation in that language, he started saying that we couldnt speak in another language that wasn't english. That person threatened to go to human resource and report that incident, I was wondering if that is a crime what i did. I do my work efficiently and speak english generally just that with this person we speak in another language because it comes natural. Thanks! Were can I get a copy of the employee work rules? Thanks!

Judging from the evidence that all the previous scientific accomplishments have been abused by the diabolic brain, be it meds, psyc, eng: meche /elece, poli/soc sc or computer.

The information that goes with controlling cancer tumors in the human body is so powerful that if juxtaposed in any of the afore mentioned environment and cause complete havoc society internationally.

Would it be wise to divulge this information to society at large? (hypothetically speaking)

Over and over. You know you should get tired of doing it, but you do it again and again. Why are some people born with this tendency and the others just want to go around shitting on people?

Eventually we all die, it's just about time and methods, I think everybody has right to live, and die, to die in dignity, nobody deserves to die in unbearable pain and dirty pants, most of time it's cruelty if you don't allow some people to let go, don't you think? life is your own, not other people's, If i'm diagnosed with cancer, I'll definitely choose euthanasia, death can't be avoided and prolonged.

I'm 17 and I gave my 16 year old gf a ring. Her parents are nutcases and took the ring. Since it's not their property would i be able to get it back somehow through small claims court or something. I have the receipt for the ring and everything, and the ring technically is mine. The parents are arguing it was a "gift" to her and they are entitled to have it in their possesion if they want. I disagree, it may have been a gift but it was a gift to my girlfriend not them, so if they have it couldnt I get it back?

I want to move out when im 16. I was just wondering if this was legal. My parents would never go for it, so I was wondering if you needed a parent's consent or not? Btw I live in Maine if its different for every state.

I sold my house and then bought a hovel and resrored it. When buying and paying the lawyer for the Deed I had to pay an extra discrimination tax, 'foreigners' tax. This seems so unfair when Mexicans get schooling for the children and hospital deliveries free, from us, in USA whether legal or illegal. Our high taxes in US pay for them. When we in Mexico of foreign countries pay all kinds of discriminatory taxes. My maid left without telling me that she had another job higher paying, and now I am having to pay for "leaving taxes" and a lawyer to represent me to negotiate a reasonable fee, then I pay the lawyers fee. It is never ending, but it is definite discrimination to us legal immigrants in Mexico.

The FBI just caught Lou Pearlman. He's the guy behind the 90s boy bands.
Over the last few years he's been scammed over 1000 investors using the Ponzi scheme. to the tune of $315 million. He's been on the run for the last few months and has ignored numerous subpeonas. My friends and I were just curious. About how mnay years in jail and how large of a fine, asdie from the $315 million is he looking at?
Also the report said that he was charge with 1 count of bank fraud. But he scammed over 1000 people and several banks. Why only 1 charge?

Does this apply to the charge of Felony Murder?

It greatly disturbs me that the Equal Rights Amendment, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equal_Rights_Ammendment, proposed in 1972 was not ratified, and it disturbs me even more that it has not yet been reintroduced in congress. Why is this? I can interpret it in no other way than an institutional misogyny. Do you feel the same way? Do you think it should be part of the constitution? If so, why? If, not why? Does it disturb you that it isn't part of the constitution?

To make a long story short, my grandma and her husband, Austin, moved in with my family in Aug. 2004. She insisted that it would only be until Jan. 2005, so my parents decided no rent so they could get on their feet. Jan. came and it turned to Dec. 2005. During this time period they caused our bills to triple while giving us little to no help with it. Things became hostile and it got Ito the point where my brothers and I had to remain in the back of the house all day while my grandma and Austin took the living room and dining room. In Jan. 2006, a huge confrontation arose between my grandma and I when she threatened to hit my brother while my mom was out. I ended up having to leave for a few days and even though i was 16, i wasnt allowed to be home alone. When my dad found out about this, he told them they had to be out of our house by May 2006, but this was never enforced.
Even though they claim not to have enough to leave our house, they can afford to go on trips (more in details)

Why are gays denied the rights to military service, equal salaries, and equal protection from harrassment and bullying in school when those rights have nothing to do with homosexuality? I do find homosexuality morally wrong and I'm against gay marriage because that's actually relevant to homosexuality. So, I don't understand why military service, equal salaries, and equal protection are illegal, but that constitutional amendment banning gay marriage has not been implemented yet.

I remember being home alone when I was a kid all the time. Now that I have kids that are the age I was when I was alone, I realized I was pretty young. It got me thinking about the legal issues and if there is a set minimum age that it is legal for a child to be left home alone.

while i was working in london my ex-fiancee (who was living in south carolina at the time), entered by yahoo email account and deleted all emails relating to herself. she did this by stealing my laptop (which was in SC), within which all my passwords were stored. she then proceeded to move in with another guy.

i assume that her IP address entering into my email account will be logged (and different to the IP address that I use in london). moreover, i assume that yahoo would be able to restore deleted emails.

assuming such evidence could be provided, is there any civil or criminal action that could be commenced against her. she also stole numerous items from my home in sc (tv, dvd etc) but that is incidental to this question. i have of course changed all my passwords since.
