Depends upon the state, from 15 to 18 [Maine is 16 for both sexes]. It is a gray area between the age of consent and eighteen. You can leave but the idiot parents are still responsible for you if you blow up someones house.
Of course the real answer is "If you have to ask then you're too young, go play with your video games for another couple of years."
Why anybody would have kids in this day of government control is beyond me.

You only THINK you want to move out because your parents keep a tight leash on you. At your age, you have no skills, no education, no way to make a living. Stay home, do well in school, mind your parents and when you are 18, the state of Maine will let you go out on your own and start screwing up your life.
The age of majority is 18 in all states except Nebraska,Wyoming and Alabama where it is 19; in Washington DC and Mississippi it's 21.

You can move out at any age, but you're not the age of consent until you're 18. I don't recommend it though. If your home life is hard consider looking for help from social workers, or police, or a therapist. Because think of this: Where will you get money for rent? Where will you work? How will you do that and school.? If you're not 18, then you can't get a utilities account for hydro and water, sign your own lease on your apartment. You can't even buy a beer when you move. I have friends who moved out at 16, and they ended up on the streets. Seriously think about it. If you are being physically or sexually abused, then go to the cops. They will sort it out, seriously. If you don't like your curfew, or your step-dad is a jerk, tough it out.

I'm pretty sure you can move out at any age, but if you aren't 18 you can't get your own apartment or anything without parental consent.

If you are 16 yrs old and refuse to live in the home of your parents u may ask the district court to appoint a FREE lawyer for you. That lawyer will be assigned to help you petion for EMANCIPATION.
Know that u must prove to the courts you have a place to stay (friends, relatives, apt. etc), health care and educ. or a job. Otherwise, the normal age is 18.
Good luck.
