I'm going to apply in person at Regal Theatres tomorrow in a job fair. Should I bring my SS card and Brith certificate and all that junk? And it is a job fair, and I'm kind of unsure what it is, can anyone clear this up?

Sorry, didn't mean to put it in politics.

A job fair usually means that several companies are looking for employees and they all put up booths in a conference room, or huge mall foyer and try to attract workers. They are usually organized together as an industry, eg. restaurants for chefs, waiters, maitre'ds. Hospital industry for nurses, practical nurses, porters, doctors, aides.

What you should do is print out several copies of your resume, modified slightly so you can put the right one in the job you wish to apply for. Make a generic one too. Dont put in too much specifics as it might not even fit the jobs you want to apply for.

I would not give a government ID such as social insurance unless it is required. It violates your privacy, especially if they had no intention of hiring you.

Sure, bring identification and some copies of your resume.

And dress up - don't look like a bum.

A job fair usually involves several companies interviewing potential employees.
