TELLING A CO-WORKER THAT THEY HAVE FAILED A DRUG TEST. BUT KEEP THEM WORKING UNTIL THEY HIRE ANOTHER WORKER BECAUSE THEY ARE SO SHORT STAFFED.NOT TELLING THAT PERSON WHEN THEY ARE GOING TO TERMINATE HIM. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Not much you can do. It's sort of a double standard in the working world. By that, I mean when you quit a job, it's courtesy and good for your record to give an employer two-week's notice. However, when an employer fires a person for whatever reason, usually it's right on the spot. The employer is not required to give the employee advance notice that he or she is going to be terminated. In the situation you describe, the fact that the person was allowed to continue working even though he or she failed a drug test, was to that person's advantage. Therefore, that person was at fault to begin with, so he or she should be determined next time to leave the junk alone if he or she expects to keep a job, instead of crying about it after the fact. Sorry! I know that's not the answer you want, but that's the way it is in the jungle called private enterprise.
