I locked my keys in my car. I called a locksmith. They told me 50.00 dollars and they would be there shortly. I was waiting inside when I heard my car alarm going off (My driveway is behind my house) I walked out to see the locksmith there outside my car. I went around to the driver door to open it up and get my keys out because I wanted to turn off the alarm. It was then that I saw my driverside window was cracked in 5 places. I said to the guy what happedned to my window and he said that was there when I opened your door. I said it certainly wa not He insisted it was. I did not touch my window prior to them coming over I refused to pay and said someone needed to pay fior my window . It was then that a cop showed up He was very nuetral saying it was a civil matter and he couldnt get involved. I would have to take it up with the company. (Its Sat night) So now I have to wait until Mon to speak with someone. But it is my word against his.

I read an article in the paper the other day about 2 minors who had sex (male & female), Why is it when the law gets involved in such things it is always only the boy who suffers the legal consequences? If the sex was consentual, should'nt both have to suffer the legal consequences?

We have had nothing but trouble getting Sears to come out on a Service call. We have Extended Service Contracts with them and they make us wait 2 to 3 weeks to come out to repair our washer or do maintenance service on our air conditioning! Many times they never show up and when we call-several times- they say the tech is backed up .Finally afterr 4 or 5 calls they tell us it was canceled as they had no tech available. Recently our washer needed major repair to the tune $500 in parts and labor. They didn't show up 3 times and when they did they fixed it. Today the washer dumped water all over the place again. We called and explained the situation and got nowhere! Now we have to wait 2 more weeks for the tech to show up. If he comes at all. We asked if they could send someone soon to ok a new washer . We were told that we had to wait for the tech to say that we need a replacement! I emailed customer service. No one gets back to me. What should we do?

i always thought that a person couldnt be charged with murder if there was no body because technically they could still be alive or they may have evidence on them linking to someone else. surely there wouldnt be any proof unless there is a body???

Here is the situation: he is 17 and is going to turn 18 in November. school starts back up in August and his parents are making him move to Cary and switching schools. His parents sent him away for the summer just because they don't want him to be with his girlfriend for other reasons. now, he wants to be able to stay at his current high school, but if his parents move to cary during this summer, then he'll have to switch schools and he wants to finish his last year and not be pulled out so close to graduation. he wants to get emancipated because his parents do cause him emotional stress and he did go to counseling and even his counselor thought his parents were out of hand with how they treat him mentally and emotionally. the questions are can he get emancipated while he's away, how long would the process take, does he need a place to go if he gets emancipated, what if his parents don't allow it, if someone can give me any information about this and what he can do in this situation.

In terms of legal ownership, when you throw something away, when does it stop being your property and become the property of whoever collects the garbage?

I have reading questions on being fired for no reason. From what I hear if you are fired it is
your fault and you can not get unemployment.
You can only get unemployment for being let
go at your job through no fault of your own like,
company downsizing,company closed up and
went bankrupt etc.
Fired-they see it as your fault, even if your boss fired you for no reason. Is this true in most cases?

I wasn't getting the answers I wanted on the last question. I understand that meth is bad and the government wanted to make it harder to get a lot of Sudafed or what have you, to help the fight to reduce meth production (you can argue if this would even help, but that is not important to me).

Basically, I know that the common way to make Meth is a combination of pseudoephedrine and red phosphorus (usually from red phosphorus matches) and iodine (ok this one you have to keep, I guess). They were all Class-1 chemicals before the Patriot Act which means that you had to control the production and distrubution of the chemical in the process of making it, and show caution when selling the product in large quantities. So why target Sudafed and not the matches, we have better matches today than the red phosphorus matches, but there are people who borderline need Sudafed for nasal congestion issues.

So I ask you, does anyone know why they targeted pseudoephedrine?
