I think that there are clear reasons that children learn to lie.

1. avoid rejection...(child: can i have a cookie? parent: did you finish your veggies? child: yes [though the real answer is no])

2. fear ... (parent: did you do what i asked/instructed/expected? child feels: if i did not do as mommy/daddy/parent wants, s/he will be disappointed, will discipline me, will be angry)

3. embarrassment: (parent: did you wet the bed? child feels: i should be a big boy/girl by now but i am not and that means something is wrong with me)

If i am right about this, or on track to being right, how do you instill in a child the comfort to be truthful rather than succumb to embarrassment, fear, and fear of rejection?

After hiring 10 unethical attorneys, and witness numerous immoral attorneys hired by my ex-husband, I decided to be my own attorney. However, Michigan State Bar association always strikes me with Practicing Law without a license. They worked very anxiously making crank calls to my Paralegal Company and ignored the Power of Attorney signed up to me by my current husband. The public defender's office of Washtenaw County also called threatened me not to write Affidavits for my current husband. So, I like to know what kind of organization and under what law and authorization that State Bar assocication can sneak into our holly justice system and monopolize justice from the people. And, why we can't have more than one private assocation such as the Society of Actuaries to test on the Licensing issue of attorneys. I think the testing agency of attorneys have some very serious legal pitfalls, that they should not be treated differently than any other organizations which give out exams.

This is from the AP article, 'RIAA tells students: Pay up for downloads': "The music industry is asking 50 Ohio University students to pay $3,000 each to avoid lawsuits accusing them of pirating songs off the Internet."

That sounds like a form of extortion to me (not a law student). The assumption exists that the students illegally downloaded music but that cannot be properly ascertained outside a court of law, correct? Any thoughts?

My very first question was supported by 2 informal answers, except for one. I was judged by someone other than GOD. I have no regrets for anything I have ever done! I am human and have made mistakes. JUST AS WE ALL HAVE! Most people that know me are responsible law abiding people that know me and respect me. I do not try not to judge others because it's not fair, but I'd like to know how someone could be full of answers, but have no questions? It's like there has to be a balance. You just can't know it all!!

so weeks ago i posted a question which summed up said if some one across the country gets and abortion, it shouldnt matter, i got an answer saying "if u had a friend in cali who called and said they got a gun to there kids head wouldnt you do something about it?" in short NO, why becausethe question stated that why should i care if i dont know them, the point of life is to live happy and christians say god gave us free will, in lay, holds weird ideas, but since god isnt our primary law it shant be illeagal we have the right to have sex and have medical ways of getting rid of the consequences of accidents, if you get pregnant and dont want the kid..... get rid of it, after the first response they mentioned drunk driver, which when i saw the first few words, i ignored the rest because the question was a call that, people need to stop fighting issues like that and free speech and other rights, do you "moral" people realize that you are hated because you think you can tell us what to do?

I feel that I have been profiled, and here's the story:

I was walking into the county fair today, much like any normal person. As I approached the entrance and handed the handler my ticket, the security told me to tuck in my chain (I have a wallet chain). I obliged, and then was suddenly told to put my hankerchief that sits in my back pocket away, also. By this point, I was rather perturbed. Having done so, I proceeded and was again stopped, this time by an officer standing next to the gate. He then told me to put my chain away again. I pointed out that it was in my pocket, and he told me to unhook it from my belt and put it completely away. Exasperated, I proceeded to do so. Whilst doing this, the officer proceeded to, and in a demeaning tone, tell me that I could take it to my car or just leave; he was trying to be easy on me. I just sighed and put it away and carried on. As I was in the park, there were many other kids with chains and clothing much less conservative than mine.

My husband is being harrased by his supervisors they yell at him, and even other employees have joined in. He is bipolar they dont know that but they are aware that he is sick because he has been on FMLA. He has been there 10 years with an excellant record, and has even gotten letters complimenting him on his work and even one for saving a life of an elderly woman. How can they now do this to him. Im also concerned that this is all happening because of the new director. Race has became an issue, one of the supervisiors has been caught saying racist remarks to another supervisor and in a blog on the itnernet a supervisor stated that the black supervisor got her job with no education because she was black he laughed and said that even though she got the promotion she was still wearing knee pads for the white man. This is sick, and never ever had anything like this ever happened before the new director. Can we file a complaint with EEOC? They said he cant he has to go proper chain.
