First of all, what is pedophile? They are the people who gets sexual satisfaction from having sex to a child. The person we are talking about here maybe a woman, a man, or a gay. You said you want to check if there are pedophile in Australia or in USA? My answer is yes, and not only in Australia, or the USA, even in other countries too.

I' ve seen on TV more than once, documentaries about pedophiles thriving on child for sexual satisfaction. I am sad about this, but it happens in the Philippines too. I've seen on TV raids being conducted by the NBI, our version of your FBI and you will really pity the children. When they were asked why did they sell their own body to pedophiles who came from different countries and of different nationalities, they said they need to eat. They were hungry. Yes, that is the reason... hunger. You may asked... Where are the parents? Sad to say, sometimes they are the one selling their children. Their reason? Hunger, money to buy drugs, and money to use in gambling.

So again... Are there people in Australia or USA who are pedophile, yes, thoroughout the world, Saudi Arabia is no exception. They just do it secretly. I knew that when I was in Saudi Arabia. The worst is you will only learn that when a patient with already incurable STD comes to you. As young as 15 years old.

To sum up everything ...Roots of evil is everywhere so we should always be as dainty as a dove but as fierce as a Lion.

In Pennsylvania, you can go to the PA state police site and then go to Megan's law and all you need to do is enter your county or zip code and it will display offenders. That is how I found out we had one in our neighborhood actually. Of course, this shows only the convicted ones. Sadly, there are many more out there who are not on the list.

ask the local police they would have a record of it. not sure they'd tell you though as they have more rights than the victim
